was bullard offside?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i know we deserved to lose, but watch the goal and wonder, dose bullard count as not offside then as he recives the ball back from the corner

Nah. The player Bullard passed it to doesn't really knock the ball forward, but almost stops the ball dead for Bullard to cross...therefore, the ball hasn't been played forward, and hence, Bullard is not offside.

You could argue that the ball rolled slightly forward, but I think that would have been fussy to the extreme, and the ref was right to play on.

Either way, I doubt that was on Gallas' mind as he made his half hearted attempt to mark his man

Is it true Hodgson wishes to sell Bullard as the guy doesn't defend properly?

Not offside, at least I would never have given it as that.

United would NEVER play a midfield two of Eboue and Denilson. :banghead:
