I think Arsene will go next summer (25/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

and if we do actually finish outside of the top four at the end of the season, I don’t think I’ll be the only one who seriously thinks about leaving.

we_are_the_arsenal - Thank you, you sum up in one posting just how stupid some fans are. Tell you what mate, when you've had a season ticket for 30 years, come back and have a go, until then I suggest you get back to your homework. You come across as an ignorant, blind, childish idiot who can't even hold a decent discussion.
Arsenal existed before Wenger and will exist an awful long time after he's gone. He is NOT infallible (look that word up if you like).

Now that Walcott is playing, he is playing the Fabregas-role ffs! Could anyone even in their worst nightmare think of that as plausible? Especially when we already have Nasri, Ramsey and Wilshere, all of whom are more natural attacking midfielders!
.

For gods sake it was quite clear denilson was playing the attacking role with eboue playing the holding role, which he did quite well to be honest, none of us like the guy but at least give him credit when he has a hald decent game.

Sorry for the delay TeeCee, I was busy doing my homework, which was to look up "infallible" in the dictionary (such a big big word, I'm so impressed).

I agree, when did I say anything different? One day Wenger won't be here, that's a fact. But to get rid of him now because we lost a game in week 2 is ridiculous. You want him to buy 3 or 4 big stars, does Arsenal have the money though?

You fear we won't qualify for the champions league when we've got 2 away goals and a home match to go? What a silly thing to say.

I hope you do "leave" at the end of the season, at least it would free up a season ticket for a loyal gooner whose support isn't based on being in the top 4.

Cheerio

For those of you moaning miserable bastards that sit there week in week out and complain :banghead: - can you hand back your season tickets as some proper fans would like to see their team :barscarf:

I'm already a s/t holder but I know plenty that would jump at the chance to be one. You stick with your team through thick and thin times and I've seen some bloody thin times.......you lot are just a bunch of glory hunting arseholes who only know the good times!!!!!!!!.

for the first time since Wenger took over, I fear we will not qualify for the Champions League this season.
4-0 win, 6-0 on aggregate.

Oh dear TeeCee

LMAO, League position mate, league position. If we couldn't beat a pub team then we might as well make you the manager of Arsenal when you leave school! Jesus you are incredibly thick aren't you!!

By the way, all the muppets moaning about season ticket holders giving them up so you get a chance........I see you didn't make much effort last night - only about 45-50,000 in the stadium and tickets were on general sale for the first time supposedly! A sign of things to come??

League position 2 games into the season? TeeCee, you're clueless.

It was an upset. So what, move on. ManU lost to Bolton last season, but won the title.

As far as me being Arsenal manager, no thanks, dealing with pea brain "fans" like you doesn't appeal to me.

only about 45-50,000 in the stadium
A solid crowd considering the situation of the tie. 2-0 result away, playing an inferior team at home on a weeknight.

You were fearful we wouldn't qualify for the CL. We won 6-0. Clueless.
A sign of things to come??
We'll see this Saturday. 60,000 anyone?

You're good for a laugh anyway TeeCee

I'll explain it again for you mate as you are still having problems - ask a parent to assist maybe?

My prediction was that if we fail to strengthen our obvious weaknesses then we will struggle to qualify for the CL this season - that's through LEAGUE POSITION at the end of the season, not one game against a pub team. We are already IN the champions league this season, is that simple enough to understand for you or do you need more help?

The pub team were Twente mate, not Fulham.......are you sure you're not having a laugh here because I can't believe anyone can be this stupid?

Yes Man U lost to Bolton last season and won the title.........they won the title because they were a very strong squad and were able to make up for the odd bad performance. The argument here is that we DON'T have a strong squad, hence losing to the poorer teams like Fulham is more likely to be very costly. Why? Because you only have to look at the evidence of last season and the couple of seasons before that to see how we cope with it.

You seem to take every comment as meaning that is must happen in the next match???? My prediction is for the season.....try to take that in.
We will average 60,000 crowds for the whole of this season in the league undoubtedly, yet again I'll explain the point so that you can hopefully injest it into that pea brain.....I guess I shouldn't be surprised as you're only a schoolkid and not a very bright one unfortunately.
My point is that failure to strengthen the squad and failure to compete for trophies will inevitably lead to a drop in crowds because people can't and won't pay £50+ to watch a struggling team. It's one thing to stick your name on a season ticket list but it's another to actually fork out £1100 or more when the form drops through the letterbox. Arsenal have the dearest average ticket prices in the PL.

It's quite interesting that you have these rose tinted views, which leads me to think you are obviously an armchair fan. Because the talk all around me in the west lower is how we really need strengthening, this is also echoed in the 'Gooner' fanzine which is a good representation of genuine fans views. If I was sat at home in my armchair, watching the Arsenal play on Sky or Setanta, I might have similar views to yourself because I would have nothing at stake as such, but like 40,000 other people, I pay for a season ticket every year so I actually want my team to be the best.

Hope some of that sinks in...........probably won't though.
