By selling our invicibles we are now running out of songs

We have mine and Jim's robin van persie song.

When we found ourselves in times of trouble Arsene Wenger came to me
Speaking words of wisdom, sell Henry
And when we got the cash from Barca who would our new striker be?
Arsene said politely: van Persie
van Persie, van Persie, van Persie, van Persie, he will be the answer, van Persie

And when the arsenal supporters
Living in the world say hehe,
They no what the answer is, van persie, van persie
For though they may be half hearted
hopefully they will see
There will be an answer, just wait and your see
Van Persie,Van persie. Yeah
There will be an answer, Van persie, Van persie.

 @ Gus /\/\/\

Its true we really dont have many songs left but perfect reason to start some new ones...

For Gilberto (how can our captain not really have a song of his own?!)
To the tune of Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes (the Nike/Brazil World Cup 98 advert song)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_0LxnmL3OE:

Ooohhhhhh Gil-ber-too-ooo-oo
Silva, Silva, Silva
Ooohhhhhh Ohhh-ohhh-ohhh-oh
Gil-ber-too-ooo-oo
Silva, Silva, Silva

Not very imaginative lyrically i know, but i think it would sound pretty good!

PS - Ben & Jim, great effort on the RVP song 8)

There's only one Theo Walcott,
One Theo Walcott,
Walking along, singing a song,
Walking in a walcott wonderland.

I know this is Bergkamps but i would love to use it for Theo

/\/\/\ Oooohh 1886 i dont know if i could bring myself to sing Bergkamp's song for anyone other than the great man himself!

But yeah come to think of it you're definately right Theo needs a song of his own, instead of that same old boring "Theo, Theo" chant.

How about...

To the tune of Rio by Duran Duran... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDGapNBzTDk:

His name is Theo and he dances down the wing
He’s still only 18 and fast as anything
He scored his first against the Chavski scum in Spring
Oh Theo, Theo boy one day you will be king

Could probably do with some more work on the lyrics but it at least has some potential, no? Not the finished article but plenty of potential... sound familiar?

MY EMAIL TO AND FROM REDACTION!!!!

Adam

Nice one - we going to hold regular open-mic sessions in the Rocket on match days this season so we look forward to yuo getting up and belting it out.

Yes The rocket will be open for emirates cup, at present we are not going to do anything special apart from open the bar as we are not sure how many regulars will turn up etc.

Regards

REDaction

I thought up a new song to the tune of.....you are my sunshine....let me
know what you think?, would it work?

You are my arsenal,
my only arsenal,
you make me happy when skies are grey
you just dont know,
how much i love you
so please dont take my arsenal away

you took our iceman, you took our henry, you took our paddy,
you took em all,
you just dont know,
how much i love you,
so please dont take my arsenal away.

anything you would like to change feel free...

Also is the rocket open for the Emirates Cup?

prehaps start it off then :-D

Song for our soon departing reyes to the tune of adios amigos.

Adios Reyes, adios our friend
The wet road we have travelled has come to an end
When one loves the rain and one the sun, one love has to lose
And it's you who longs for the exit, but maybe not you she will choose
