Don’t mug us off Arsenal (29/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Don’t mug us off Arsenal (29/8)

usual thread starter… Interested to be told on Wednesday evening that Blackburn away tickets had gone on general sale – to allcomers. This for a 3pm Saturday match not on the box. For an away non-TV Saturday game to go to general sale hopefully sends a message to the club. You can only fool so many people for so much of the time. But eventually they want some value for money. We got it on Wednesday night for the first time this season – and that was only because the oppo didn’t bother to turn up. People are now thinking hard about use of their time and money. Take heed Arsenal.

My wife is a dedicated Gooner which is why I scan these forums but what really annoys me is the fact that a lot of you feel so hard done by that you haven't won a trophy in three years.

I've been to see you a number of times and the football is quite amazing even if it doesn't always produce results.

I'm a Plymouth fan - it has always been tough going. I've seen more relegations than promotions and in the main the standard of football I have seen has been poor to put it politely. Quite frankly it amazes me how some of you can moan about the times when you were poor when at worst these perfomances resulted in finishing in mid-table in the top division!

Try supporting a crap team before you start feeling sorry for yourselves!!

I've supported a crap team mate - Arsenal! In the early and mid eighties it was woeful, as it was at the end of Grahams reign. When you pay well over a grand a season you expect a bit of investment. How much do you pay at Plymouth? £300?

I stick with Arsenal through thick and thin.

Not all do that though.

I think the sluggish ticket sales are as much to do with the current economy as with our title chances though.
