This just in... Ahsan Karim author of "Eboue is the new Roy Keane" article says "I told you so, doom-mongers!"
Doom-mongers? Thats a good insult.
Anyway I bet he's well smug now.
Very pleased with performance but still think we need the signings. And a nother RvP injury? Give us a break, I don't want Bendtner playing starting XI.

such beautiful football today, it was a joy to watch
i was pleased with everyones performance today but with some small issues..i thought denilson had some rough patches, song definitely seems better suited in that position than denilson for me. and also, it didnt seem like ade's day for goalscoring either.
oh and good to see eboue get an assist too

Well good way to sign off for the international break, a good win though against a Newcastle side fielding any eleven players they could find at Emirates, we deserve credit. Going to be tougher tests but we go into the break with four wins out of five, CL place grabbed, good Carling Cup draw but the Fulham game and squad depth of course leave cause for concern.
Positives:
Good save by Almunia
Sold performance by Denilson, two direct assists, indirect assist and a goal so far this campaign, think he has shown promise but ostill don't think he should be first choice if we can help it
Eboue seemed to have license to roam inside and he did it to a fairly good effect. Flitered in and out of the game but when in, helped keep possession and get attacks going, including a good one two and backheel for second goal. He isn't a right winger who can hug the touchline but given his resonble performances in the center, might be one who can come inside to good effect, we will see. After all, could be a one off
Cesc and Song got matchfitness
We dominated possession
Van Persie was awesome with awesome sauce
Ade may have missed a good chance but involved in all three goals, I'll take that
Nasri's calm professionalism against Barton.
Not a foul on him that should have provoked a reaction but since it is Barton and it was funny, I don't cae
Negatives:
Three times our defense broke down, we got lucky that the bar, Amobi and Almunia denied them. Neither Toure or Gallas excelled themselves and our captain seemed to be dragged out of position in the second half
Van Persie's injury

Were you watching the same game? Although he scored 2 I didn't think RvP was better than good. Anyway he's probably out for the rest of the season.Van Persie was awesome with awesome sauce

Denilson was better but not good. Apsrt from that everyone else was brilliant. Everyone worked hard and some of the passing sublime. Even Eboue and Greedybayor!
So ironically our 2 worst players scored the goals.

More of this please.

Great performance from the lads today. Full commitment and the quality of football was simply breathtaking. I would like to give alot of credit to Shay Given who always proves his class as a keeper and is the reason newcastle werent utterly violated today. Eboue to his credit was excellent at times but still couldnt help but swan dive when the opportunity came. Denilson was very solid and i was very happy for the lad after the fulham shocker. Adebayor played well and worked hard for the team which was great to see. Our defense was still a little shaky and on the very rare occasion the ball was in the air gallas looked very nervy. Clichy is officially mr consistency. Brilliant as always. Vela looked very neat coming on and although hes all left foot that isnt that bad as all our other attackers were all right foot lol. Can someone fill me in on the nasri incident. Fucking disgraceful challenge from Barton in the first place but I am certain Nasri barely touched him. Maybe i missed it but on MOTD it certainly didnt look to harsh. Bit hard to see at the actual game from the upper level. Either way Keegan is a total moron and should have just shut up after saying the better team won

joey barton is such a c***.
truly, i hate very few people any more than him. he shud barely be allowed in public, let alone on what must surely be a bloated footballers wage.
he was stirring up shit with people in the family enclosure..tw*t.
absolutely disgraceful that he is still is a footballer.
but other than that, great performance, few missed chances...but the biggest positive for me was a really spiced up atmosphere in comparison to most home games...i wonder why...the weather perhaps!

thats a very good point other than the fact Barton is a total and utter disgrace. He is an overpaid, jackoff, chavvy piece of shit who doesnt deserve to breath the same air as the common man. If ever someone deserved to trampled repeatedly by rhinos its this bastard.matty_yooh wrote:joey barton is such a c***.

Atmosphere was very good at times today. I was highly impressed considering i'd nailed a few too many ciders and then mistakenly taken on an inhumane amount of fried chicken from some filthy kebaby in Archway lol

V.Persie had one of his best games in ages in an Arsenal shirt!! (maybe due to injuries!)Chippy wrote:Were you watching the same game? Although he scored 2 I didn't think RvP was better than good.Van Persie was awesome with awesome sauce
Was nice to see him get back to some sharpness. oh well if reports are to be belieived and he has broke his ankle normal service has resumed

However, I don't think it was that bad as he did walk of un-aided. (fingers crossd!)
I've been waiting for Vela and in his brief subs appearance boy is this guy 'Gunner' be good!!
He's first touch is excellent and i knew he was quick but his strenght and the way he uses he body to win and keep possesion was exciting to see.
So in a way I hope V.Persie is injured (for a week or two
