As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
usual thread starter… I’d actually agree that the team is Wenger’s weakest in the 12 years. And yet, if no-one else is brought in, it suggests that is a state of affairs the manager is content with. Surely he has to get busy before the weekend’s out. We’re through to the CL groups now, so that money’s in the bank. And if he doesn’t buy, we all know we will be exposed due to the lack of strength in depth and indeed the porous central defence. I will seriously wonder if Arsene’s lost his marbles if we’re no stronger by Monday morning…
PS - the f***ing temperamental wi-fi at this holiday camp is doing my head in. god will i be glad to get back to civilisation after midnight tonight.

And why's that?
This forum has hundreds of regular posters, so how can you generalise the mood of the forum? We have all sorts on here, mate..and you'll find - if you choose to stick around - that many of us have conflicting opinions on matters, so to label the whole lot of us as 'doom and gloomers' is just as nonsensical all labelling us all 'rose tinted'. The truth is, we have a healthy mix of both, and many are somewhere inbetween.

Thousands of jubilant Afghans packed Kabul's national stadium to welcome home Rohullah Nikpai, the nation's first Olympic medallist.
"I hope this medal will bring a better future for my country, both in terms of peace and friendship." said Nikipai.
"My message to all the Afghan youth is to conquer their aspirations," he added.

LMFAO - not according to what I've been reading on this forum over the past week or so.
Number 1 I'm not your mate
Number 2 I've stuck with the Arsenal for more years than I care to remember - this generation are nothing but selfish bastards that expect immediate results.

I understand your feelings, but this forum is frequented by fans of all age groups....but, yes, some fans can be a little impatient. That's true.
I think that once the transfer window shuts, then many fans will settle down a little. I think many are frustrated that the summer really hasn't been much fun for Arsenal fans, has it...what with Hleb, Flamini, Ade, etc.
Anyway...welcome to the forum. I hope you stick around, and put some of your opinions across, as it's always good to have a different slant on things.
- try reading posts by Quartzgooner, 26may1989, etc because I still maintain that your generalisation of the forum is a little unfair on some very good posters.
Freddie - Interesting that you say 'this generation'..........where my season ticket is at the Emirates (West Lower), I'd say 80-90% are unhappy about the state of the squad judging by the conversations around me and the 'shouts' that go on. I don't think it's just newcomers to Arsenal that think it. I've been a season ticket holder for 28 years and I myself can't understand why we don't sign a couple of quality, experienced players. We DO have the money, yet again Arsenal have said that, so it's down to Wenger and Wenger alone. Does he seriously believe that two experienced quality players would not benefit the squad? It's puzzling many people at the moment. I do think he'll sign someone by the deadline but quite what the quality will be I don't know, one thing is for sure, we don't need another 20 year old bit of 'potential'!!
