i think one of the big pluses was the atmosphere yesterday...lots of noise coming from the RedAction whick carried on around the ground. I was next to the geordies in yellow section and they could hardly be heard which is unusual for them.
Arsenal fans were singing well yesterday, and i am sure that lifted the team

I WOULD AGREE THE ATMOSPHERE WAS EXCELLENT BUT WOULD DISAGREE THAT IT WAS THE REDACTION FELLAS THAT PROVIDED THIS!

I SAT IN THE "CLOCKEND" FOR THE FIRST HALF AND THEY MAKE FAR MUCH MORE NOISE THAN THE SECTION I USUALLY SIT ABOVE!

I sat in the uppier tier in the orange quadrant block 100 above red action and yesterday for me was probably the best atmosphere ive been to at the emirates. there was nearly always a song going and it lasted aswell. Along with the performance i had a really good day.

im not sure which end you referring to, but normally, there is very little noise upper tier above away fans/fam enclosure.

but they were really up for it, i was well impressed, we need this every match now!

and also, surprisingly, their fans were shite. i thjoiught the toon were supposed to be class fans loudnesswise, but recently (fa cup last year as well) they have been really poor.

Many people are saying the atmosphere was quite good, and you can hardly disagree. Best I've been to in a long while, loved the are you t*ttenham in disguise bit, you hear it loud and clear on MOTD. also when denilson scored redaction went crazy like i've never seen them before.

p.s watching the villa match earlier and you could hear both sets of fans singing, then you heard "villa villa villa villa villa" really loud, you could tell majority of the ground was singing, at Arsenal you only get usually 2 stands singing, would be good if all four sung regularly.

I thought the atmosphere was really good, and the performance from the players was really good.

Credit where it is due to Eboue, who thoroughly deserved his applause yesterday. Typical RVP to get injured when playing well. Adebayor showed plenty of effort and Clichy was back to his best.

I thought the Newcastle fans were incredibly quiet - worst away support for a long, long time. Can someone tell me why Steve Ashley wasn't ejected for drinking inside the stadium bowl - I know any normal fan would have been?

That was one of the best performances I've seen from The Arsenal since we moved to The Grove.

We started at a high tempo from the first minute, got the goals we deserved, kept our concentration for the vast majority of the match and on chances we could have doubled our score against a team that had made a decent start to the season.

Very disappointed in Keegan bringing that criminal onto our pitch. I have a lot of time for Keegan as a person but he's made a big mistake giving that thug a chance.

The atmosphere sounded pretty good as well, even when watching the highlights on MOTD. Considering this wasn't a game against another member of the "Big Four" or scum, this bodes well for the rest of the season.

Pleased for RVP to get his first goals (only to pick up yet another injury ) and also for Denilson to recover well from his shocker at Fulham.

3 points, clean sheet, great atmos AND an Eboue assist. An exceptional day.

We usually do very well against teams that give us space to play in, Newcastle game was typical of this.

Fulham showed we do not do so well against teams that close us down.

too right dunno what Keegan was givin off for after the whistle as it was Barton who jumped in on Naz and could've injured him and didn't give a fuck - no change there then I hope he gets what's comin to him preferably on the street when he picks on someone older than a teenager!

He might be a wanker, but there wasn't a lot wrong with Barton's challenge on Nasri. But Keegan's response to Nasri's retaliatory trip of Barton was as embarrassing as "King Kev" has ever said ... and that's saying something. It was just about a yellow card offence by Nasri, with not the slightest chance of injuring the convict.

Perhaps Kev should think about his own record before mouthing off about our players. Who were the two players to be the first to be sent off at Wembley? Step forward Kevin Keegan and Billy Bremner, sent off for punching each other playground style in a Charity Shield match in the 1970s. Keegan was apparently not happy about some rough treatment from Leeds. Sounds familiar.

There's no point believing the crowd soundmix on MOTD. It's completely made-up, they edit sound from various parts of the ground to make sure no dodgy singing goes out on TV and, if you get a biased dubbing mixer, to make one support sound better than another.

The atmosphere was good - but not as good as Liverpool, Sp*rs or Manwho atmos in our first season at the grove though - they were electric!

Block 99 was good, there's certainly a section at the top of block 100 who are great at starting (and continuing) songs.

But good to hear us getting our voice at long last! Let's hope in A MONTH'S (!!!!!) time against Hull we continue it!

BEST SONG: 'You're just a small town in Scotland, small town is Scccootland....' it only had a brief outing from RedAction, but very funny.
