North Bank Banners to make Ashburton debut! (27/7)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

North Bank Banners to make Ashburton debut! (27/7)

usual thread starter – well done to the club for sorting this out. I’ve missed these inspiring reminders of past triumphs. Redaction do meet some brick walls with Arsenal, but they keep hammering away, so well done to them too. any other suggestions for improving "the matchday experience" (copyright keith edelman) out there?

Gooner.Ed may recall seeing the old trafford banner (?) at the AISA bash - it was at the far end of the stadium and almost invisible to the naked eye. They were obviously trying out various positions for the banners - on that evening it was afixed to the glass partition at the back of the upper tier.

Well done to all the guys and girls at REDaction for twisting the Club's arm up it's back. The more anyone and everyone can do to assist the Arsenalisation of Ashburton the better.

Maybe we should try an anthem next

People have already contacted the club about anthem and they want to carry this through, gooner ed put the referendum on the site not a the overall verdict but something the arsenal board can have a look at when deciding.

It's great to see the North Bank Banners at the Grove it might just help with the atmosphere a bit aswell as making it more homely.

SING WHEN YOU'RE HANGING, WE ONLY SING WHEN YOU'RE HANGING

Post by I Hate Hleb »

I AM VERY HAPPY THAT THE CLUB HAVE DECIDED TO ALLOW THE BANNERS TO HANG AT ASHBURTON. 8)

HOWEVER, I THINK SOME PEOPLE ARE GETTING CARRIED AWAY IN SAYING HAVING THEM BACK IS GONNA IMPROVE THE ATMOSPHERE.

NOW UNLESS THE BANNERS ARE GONNA BE MUSICAL/SINGING ONES, LETTING OUT CHORUS OF 'COME ON YOU REDS!', HOW THE FECK WILL THE ATMOSPHERE IMPROVE JUST BY THE MERE FACT THAT SOME PIECES OF CLOTH ARE GONNA BE HANGING AROUND THE GROUND?

IT NEEDS THE FANS TO SING FOR THE ATMOSPHERE TO IMPROVE - NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS!!

I saw the banners at the training day today but only in a e format on the ad's board which i was dissappioted about as i would of thought they'd be on the corners of the stadiums where the trophies are
In this case for the next Gooner a load of Ballacks

They looked ok although very low down and very close to the pitch - right behind the goal just waiting for someone to run into them! Also maybe not very easy to see from around the stadium.
Was good to see Rocky's name included on there.

They looked quite good on Members Day. They probably wont be on much though due to the other advertising boards :(
