Why would members of the Dubai royal family be going to jail?

Lot's of grand promises, be surprised if they pulled it off when not in a CL place. Get 4th on the other hand and with their money, might not be too far off

I'd agree with that then rather sell our sole!
What on earth has our soul got to do with it? This is abstract claptrap!
We've moved from Highbury, changed our crest, have one englishman on the bench. What exactly is our soul?? What would we be losing if we had a foreign takeover? You seem so scared of the boogeyman you don't realise the current custodians are taking the club backwards.

City have got an owner who is prepared to heavily invest in the team. In all likelihood Citeh will see success that they have been deprived of since the 1970's. Why would this upset their fans? Do you understand the concept of being a football supporter? We hope our team wins, not produce excellent financial returns. People cite Leeds as if its the rule of what happens if you spend money on players. Why just cite that poorly managed club when there's lots of other clubs which invest without self-combusting?

I think Wenger has created his own benchmark up until 2004. We expect Arsenal to compete. The face of football has changed since I began supporting Arsenal in the 70's. The amount of money and the CL has created a bridge between domestic super clubs and the rest. Manager after manager of teams outside the top 4 have bemoaned the difficulty of breaking into this group. The CL brings in the money which assists buying the players to guarantee CL football.

By not re-investing this monney into the team we are going to be the first of the super clubs to effectively cancel our membership of the top 4; leaving our place to those who are prepared to invest. To then break back into the top 4 will REQUIRE a foreign takeover as we will no longer have the CL revenue neccessary to compete. I wish the Arabs would have bought us now. I'd like my team to win. Mad that isn't it?

here here mate...£4.50 for a effing balti pie and £3.50 for a pint of shite, what's that got to do with soul?

Reality is, ManCity owners can afford to double or treble anybody's wages and before anybody mentions 'mercenaries' and staying for a 'footballing reasons' let me just say it's peculiar how nobody at AFC is mentioning 'footballing reasons' when they charge as 4-figure sum to watch Eboue, Almunia & co...

Only good thing for us is; after 3 or 4 years when CL football is by no means certainity, we just might start taking domestic cups seriously again...

Who wants to build a team with talent when you can just buy a team. Manchester City will be the biggest club in the world until someone with even more money buys another team.

This is a sad day for football.
I agree 100% how long till we start seeing Man City shirts on kids in every town. It's a sad sad day

For everybody who said that City fans are happy for a reason. Please answer the question I asked earlier on here: Would you accept this kind of buyer to our club? Would you like Arsenal to become a toy, just so we can compete?

135 million, wasn't it, for Ronaldo?

I think this will kill the game.

Moan U and Chavski will follow suit as best they can, we won't because we won't, and smaller clubs won't be able to. If they try they'll go under.

Its an obscene amount of money - and so wrong

"The Joy of Cesc" - im glad you saw that too, i thought i miss heard.

They will offer Man Utd £135 million for Ronaldo!!!! ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION POUNDS!!!!!!! Farking Hell!!!!

They want Cesc!!! With that sort of money they will get him! If this fella walks up to the Arsenal board and says here is 100m we want Cesc, you can bet your bottom dollar the board will agree!

Hypothetic question...

If they offered to pay off our stadium for us, in return for Fabregas, would you accept or decline? ----- Think about this long and hard and post your replies!
