noobie list:
kill em all: 4 horsemen, seek and destroy
ride the lightning: for whom the bell tolls, fade to black, CREEPING DEATH (my favourite)
puppets: battery, master of puppets
and justice...: blackened, one, harvester of sorrow
black album: sad but true, unforgiven, nothing else matters
and everything they wrote after that was shit
(used to be a big big metallica fan)

"The Memory Remains" (with Marriane Faithful) is one of my favourite songs of all time. Also, I'd suggest listening to their live album "S&M" with Michael Kamen and the San Fran Symphony Orchestra. Majestic...
Some of their earlier stuff ain't too good (IMO) and St Anger sucked deeply of the shite pipe but "The Black Album" is a class album.

The Metallica cover of "The Ecstacy of Gold " is class too, both the full cover and "S&M" version is you prefer the classical touch!DB10GOONER wrote:"The Memory Remains" (with Marriane Faithful) is one of my favourite songs of all time. The S&M album is absolute quality, especially "No Leaf Clover".
Heard a few of the new tracks, sound good on the whole although there was one that still sounded like it belonged on St Anger, can't remember which, may have been Cyanide.

with every genre and style you have to dig deep to find quality as big labels and distributors will only back stuff that will sell, whether its any good or not is immaterial.SCREAM AIM FIRE wrote:as for whoever said hip hops good...how can you call a person who takes someone elses song and puts shit lyrics about having money over the top good?
