Eduardo work permit

While I agree in principle with Belfast Boy that we all need to be positive, I also believe that it would help if the club was a bit more positive as well. Instead of just reacting to player departures(henry, ali etc) & future temporary departures(kolo & eboue) then can we just strengthen our squad cos we need to ? I mean lets look at the facts - the ivory boys are off to the anc in january so we buy sagna who can play across the back four & then henry f*cks off so we buy eduardo(subject to a work permit of course). This squad finished more than 20pts behind manure last season and we have only felt the need to strengthen where we have lost players since ?? I have always heard that the time to strengthen is when you are on top but we obviously don't see the need to strengthen when in 4th place. That to me points at a club happy to hang in there for 4th place and the champions league qualifiers which doesn't radiate positivity or ambition to the fans.

Huntelaar has not yet moved ( I think ) so would he be a sound investment for us :?

Cannot really see the work permit thing being a problem, yet another stick for the press to try and beat us with.

Yeah well he has played 50% of internationals and 100% in the last year and AW sez there is players in this country with worse international credentials than Dudu's and from smaller countries too, and I think ManU got Anderson under the "special talent" rule altho I hope that's not a prediction and I've no idea how that determination is arrived at :?

I did not think of it as any issue untill i read Arsene's comment today. He said

" We sign our contracts subject to work permits, so we have not been negligent. If the work permit does not happen, we are not in a position where we are obliged to keep the player."

That isnt the most encouraging thing ive ever heard from Arsene. I hope it gets sorted out on the 2nd.

So the work permit is all done and dusted meaning that if mr wenger wants to play him against fulham he can.
