Dien has f*cked off!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Dien has f*cked off!

Post by Robsy »

This can be found on other Arsenal websites, but their are reports (in the Daily Mail) that Dien has split/or walked/or been sacked from Usmanov's employee.

He's no longer involved with the Russian, who still owns roughly 25% of our club.

It looks like Dien's looking for a job with UEFA or FIFA or whatever.

Anyway, this now means if the Russian (is he Russian?) fella gets his hands on the club, then it won't involve bringing Dien in with him.

I wonder how that makes people feel who want to get rid of the curent board and saw Dien/Usmanov as a good option. Is Usmanov as an 'attractive' proposition now?

The words Usmanov and attractive should never be in the same sentence together

If this is true, it makes Dein a much more attractive prospect for rejoining the club but Usmanov will never be a good thing for the club.

This will probably be for the same reasons that Stan ended up distancing himself from DD, namely when he became aware of the level of opposition from within the boardroom to anything or anyone associated with our former vice chairman!

it said that dein is doing this for arsenal as he knows the current board dont want him back and its seems he is trying to get a job at uefa,
i was always pro dein as i do think that since he left the football side of things have gone down hill but i dont understand him at times and never saw why he sold his shares in the first place

Never liked David Dein so can't say I'm too fussed if he comes back on the board or not

DD could well turn up at the FA now that they need a new man.

That must be right, but interesting to see news of DD resigning at R&W just a few days after Wenger says a new CEO is about to be appointed. Stranger things..........

That is what the press are saying.

A man of Dein's energy is probably now bored waiting for something to happen at Arsenal, never thought he would be the type to stand on the outside looking in.

Seems he wants a UEFA or FIFA job, reckon with his experience he can be a good administrator there.

Fair comment and it certainly makes sense as there is no doubt he likes to be busy and is used to being influential, moving in powerful circles, but then it must also figure that Usmanov is gettin fed up at bein on the outside lookin in despite bein the club's largest shareholder!
