Onlinegooner on google chrome

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh super!

I tried Firefox but it seems slower to me than Explorer!

What are the differences in these things? Why would one be better than the other?

Probably to do with the software that they use gus (he says sounding like he knows something  )

In a nutshell - I don't have a clue. One for the kids to answer. :barscarf:

Likewise, I have to highlight all the text to see the threads when I'm at home. Good thing I spend most of my time on here while using someone else's computer and getting paid for it :barscarf:

Never heard of google chrome before. I think Safari is the Apple default browser in the same way Explorer is the default Windows. I use firefox at home and find its much faster than Explorer but apart from the layout it doesnt do anything different to Explorer in my limited knowledge of these things

Google released Chrome in order to get a better grip on internet usage. They get all the search hits but as far as browsing sites go they have no idea. With Chrome they can record and track what you actuallly do with the browser, IE. THIS POST WOULD BE SENT TO GOOGLE. and they can see what i write and talk about, and tell the authoroties if neccesary but essentially have a heads up on advertising based on my activities. This week google were ordered to amend its copyright with Chrome as they stated that anything uploaded via their browser they have FULL RIGHTS TO. The product is a gimmic and is a real attempt by google to get a further strangle hold on the internet.

Firefox is a much better browser and as its not done by microsoft is not dependant on fairly easily exploited code. Firefox does have issues with too many tabs being open, if one goes bad they can really slow you machine down, as well as firewall reboots will cut a session of, this does not happen with IE. Firefox displays nested images better, and is more use manipulatable.

rant over.

ps. i'm not a kid either. Just a geek.
