Rvp\Cesc corners

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I reckon we're better off keeping the ball on the floor rather than expekting anyone of our players to head the ball.

 To be honest, the only purpose for this thread was for me to test my new phone (nokia n95 8gb), and it's wireless capabilities.

Unfortounatly, using the writing method (auto completion of words) on it, can sometimes make you to look stupid..

Dislike, nothing seems to come from them. I've stopped getting excited by corners cos its such a huge let down recently

by recent im guessing you mean a good 5 years

i dont like them personally...waste of a man really, cesc should knock it in to rvp on the edge of the box and he should let a screamer rip the net...need to practise them alot more

Agree, I don't like watching our coners at all.

I just got an iphone but when I try looking at the threads on here it shows them blank, kind of a let down, but other than that I love it.

Cesc better than RvP at taking corners.

Prefer R V P to be edge of box to latch onto any balls kicked out by defenders.

Short corners are definitely better usually, though we've done better with the old school aerial stuff in the last couple of years than before, Gallas in particular.

Remember what it was like in the days of The Invincibles - defending a corner was often a good basis for one of those beautiful lightning attacks involving Henry, Pires, Freddie, Dennis and Wiltord.

I agree with SAF, we should definitely use corners passed low to the edge of the box for someone like RvP to have a shot. Sheringham (yes, him!) was great at scoring goals like that and I've long wondered why, given our players' style, we don't try the same thing once in a while.

And gusher, I know what you mean about accessing the forum from an iPhone - it's to do with the antiquated nature of the software - when Kevin et al briefly tried to upgrade the forum (the night we were all depressed because we managed to lose to the scousers in the CL) the "new" forum was accessible on an iPhone. So, hopefully the reform will be redone at some point....

you can see the reason behind them, cesc and van persie can't head the ball so there's no point in them being in the box but...

the goals we remember from corners last season:

Gallas vs Chelsea
and
Bendtner vs Spurs

neither of them came from short corners, personally i don't like them but saying that we'll probably score from one tomorrow!
