I find your avatar offensive as it watches me gaping at the tit threads. Please remove it immediately.ds wrote:I feel maybe I have not been posting on here long enough to comment on such a highly controversial subject really. Gus comments in normal type, mine in bold.
GUS
Nobody else though felt the need to point out a certain title bothered them.
QUARTZ
Ok, but I did, that does not make me wrong to do so.
GUS
I have heard jokes about Anne Franks on every major TV station from various comedians.
QUARTZ
I have not heard such jokes, and if I did i would not like them.
GUS
Was you hoping to highlight your feelings so the entire forum changes it's attitude and remembers your feelings when posting anything that you may find offensive? Was you hoping that we as a forum, would now consider the plight of Anne Franks and warn any future offenders of the distress this material causes you?
QUARTZ
Well yes actually, because somethings that are taken for granted, or as norms, in one era, are then revised in later years.
Was not so long ago that Black people were routinely called N****r by white people.
That has now been changed (all so called Hip Hop usage of the word aside).
GUS
I suggest that if you find this very light mickey taking about a Jewish subject so offensive that you also make Guy Ritchie aware that his character in Lock Stock played by Mike Reid who sells the diamonds is not acceptable.
QUARTZ
I found that hilarious actually.
GUS
And to clarify the pretentious and moderator crusade comments.......
This is highlighted when you put down others comments when you have top secret info from your man on the inside.
QUARTZ
Believe it or not, as I have said in the past, do know a couple of people close to the club.
That may seem like some sort of weird boast, but not at all.
Some people here will have no connection to club staff at all, other do, and regularly post about "tip offs" or "rumours" they receive.
I would no way tell some stuff I get told, and no way name my source, and no way compromise any possible advantage the club might have. I am not an investigative journalist, but I do hear the odd thing.
As do many people of ages 30 - 65 who work in London, be it from a cabbie who takes a certain player to a certain destination, or someone who works for an airline.
GUS
I will lastly say on this that the death of Anne Frank can in no way be found as personal as the death of someones father and I would find that comment laughable if it wasn't seriously suggested.
QUARTZ
It is highly personal to me.
It is not laughable in any way.
I am surprised you cannot understand that.
As for the moderator comment, you will probably remember how I have remarked to you on more than one occasion in the Further Discussion forum your need to tell people where to post items.
QUARTZ
I have advised people putting New Threads in Further Discussion that it is better to put them in the Forum, as these people who do that are without exception NEW to the site.
They do not realise the Further Discussion is much less visited by site traffic, and so their thread will remain with few comments, compared to how many it would get if in The Forum.
What is wrong with that?

Charlie! Charlie!
Well would you prefer I start deleting posts rather than ask politely?
Galasso,
I knew that would happen. Thought I'd give 'good cop' a try though before resorting to 'bad cop'!!.
To quote a famous character: Don't make me angry - you wouldn't like me when I'm angry!
