As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Time to raise my head above the parapet before this whol;e thread is deleted. For me, things which offend anyone are just not funny.
This week of all weeks there was a remembrance service for more than 3000 people who died for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, just so that a political group could make a statement. Not exactly funny was it? Yet people joke about it and I'm at a complete loss to see how they can be so insensitive.
Closer to home a policeman, who should know better, dresses up as Osama Bin Laden. Tee hee! Previously we've had Prince Harry as a Nazi Ho, Ho, Ho! Count yourselves lucky the Nazis didn't win - you might not even be here to watch Die Arsenal if they had. And you certainly wouldn't have Sp*rs to laugh at.
As it's quite feasible to have jokes which upset no-one we should stick with that. If we can’t make jokes without offending someone then the joke should be banned.
Is it impossible to have a laugh without it being at someone else’s expense?

Feasible to make jokes that don`t offend anyone?? Come on, there will always be someone who finds offence in any particular joke, whether or not they are being rational is another matter. Political correctness is stifling humour imo.
