lassana diarra anyone

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

NO NO NO NO NO (I'm begining to think thats my catchphrase on here)

Why do we want a Chelsea cast off!! I thought Flamini done well the weekend. We need a skillfull winger and a Centre half!

I'm happy with our forwardline Bentner adds options to our team a different approach maybe he is outlong awaited plan B lol

Glad to see he got some medication for that though!

To be fair to me Gus, and in looking in retrospect, you have to say that Defoe was one of the saner suggestions of possible Arsenal signings on this forum!!

However, you've got to admit it had you wriggling like a fish on a line and now you're hooked!!

Congratulations Gus, it's been an absolute pleasure corressponding with me ...er...you!!

Yes true there were crazier suggestions such as Marlon Harewood and Robbie Fowler but I ignored those as obviously the ramblings of a mad man or a girl!

I was not wriggling at all rather defending our club from an influx of scum!

Thank you for your comments ECD! Everytime I see you and your thoughts I remember how lucky I am to be me!

Maybe Sidwell was told Fat Franks on his way out ???

I KNOW PEOPLE MAY THINK WHY ARE WE SIGNING ANOTHER MIDFIELDER, BUT ARSENE WAS LOOKING TO SIGN HIM BEFORE THE CHAVS GOT THERE SO THE INTEREST DOESN'T SURPRISE ME. THE FACT THAT CHELSEA WOULD CONSIDER SELLING HIM TO US DOES THOUGH, BECAUSE HE IS VERY HIGHLY RATED BY THEM!

my only worry was that if chealsea are letting him talk too us then why :?: might just be a roumour but sky are uselly good on these things,, bulk up the squad if nothing else
because they would rather let him come to us now or in jan and make money on him than keep him make no money and he might end up coming to us anyway

 I will be shocked if we buy him - its not that I think he is no good but le boss listed out his midfielders last week and stated that we have more then enough in that area which is something we all feel already. If we decided to dispense with gilberto in the holding role and went with an enforcer then i think diaby should get first craic at it. Wenger is doing my head in on the transfer front lately (as he usually does with us all to be fair) - i mean he says on saturday that he may buy 1 or 2 new players then we have the whole anelka press conference saga when he was either really interested in signing "super nic" or he was totally enjoying screwing the journalists over and given his history it is hard to know which it was. So after saying that he may sign 1 or 2 more he then states that he is not after a centre half and when you add that to the statements over the last 2 weeks when he ruled out signing another centre midfielder or striker you begin to wonder about what other position he could possibly be targeting(other than a winger of course).

Talking about wacky transfer targets this summer has driven me to proposing another one - Raul of real madrid. He has aparently been told that he can leave madrid and I for one would like to see an experienced winner that can bag a bucket load of goals in this team join us at the emirates. I know he is another left footer and as suggestions go its way out there but who knows the workings of wengers mind when it comes to transfers
