HURLING, A REAL MANS GAME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gah games do nothing for me at all. I hate the way they try to dictate to people what games they should play and then class everything else as "foreign" sport. That is until they need to run a golf day or a poker night to gather funds. Or compromise their uncompromising sport by bending the rules to make money from Aussies.

However I wish Tyrone all the best and hope they bring Sam back to the O'Neill county :winner:

Good video. I'd love to get more into hurling. Found a love for it when I was back there, just mucking around on the streets and in parks with my cousins. Now my hurley is too short and I think I only have one sliothar left.

This has inspired me rebel. I might ask one of my relatives to send me out a Galway jersey (do they sell hurling merchandise...maybe stupid question, but I've only ever owned a gaelic football one... :? ) and a few sliothars. Would be too hard to try and send wood in the post though. Damn customs.

In Dublin we call them muck savages. Or Culchies. Or swampers. Or Goat rapists. Or Sister fuckers. or swamp rats. Or Mullahs (pronounced Mooo- laaaah) (nothing to do with Islam).
