As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
we do seem to have a decent number of heavy metal fans on this forum. i have to say my interest in metallica was that i figured they were so huge they had to have done some decent tunes. but as for metal generally, i have to confess i now find it all a bit derivative from the stuff i was listening to close to 30 years ago. metal doesn't ever really seem to develop as a form of music, which is why something like combining with an orchestra captures my imagination - doesn't happen often and to do so, tunes are required.
but thanks for all suggestions. spreading the word about something you like is laudable and one of the great joys of my teenage years was the loaning of albums between me and my mates.

try apocalyptica if you like orchestrated metal
the gig tonight, great performances but imo a weak set and the stage was set in the center which was a bit shit
no creeping death, enter sandman or sad but true AND they played frantic
Listened to Metallica for the first time last week getting a lift home from my mate. 'Master of Puppets' was the song. I quite liked it, but had a sneaking suspicion I'd heard it before...
Anyway...does anyone listen to Underoath? I'm going to see them later this month. With A Silent Fiction, who are a good local-ish band who I've grown to like over the last 2 days.
