song for club level

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lads, that's a a load of bollix. :(

Not everyone in club level is a git. I watch in club level because that is where my mate got his season ticket that I borrow. He was late getting it and had no choice, so I have no choice.

I sing and chant until I'm horse, and a good portion of the real fans around me do to. There are early leavers/late arrivers/non singers near us and they are losers, but that IS NOT everyone in club level. We are always trying to get our silent neighbours up and singing.

Insulting your fellow Gooners is f*cked. I remember this sh*t from a small number of ars*holes in the clock end at THOF as well. Slagging off other Gooners is not big and not clever. That whole "I'm more of a fan than you are" sh*t is pathetic.

I pay £100 per game for the ticket, anywhere between £50 to £150 for the flight over, £50 minimum for the hotel, then you add on food, beer, pressies for the missus and two kids, tube fairs, another £60 for the train to and from Standstill airport, taxi (£60) to and from the airport my end... you get the picture. :?

I would be major PISSED OFF if I heard that chant directed at me.

I'M WITH DB10GOONER ON THIS ONE.

YES, THERE ARE ARSEHOLES IN THE CLUB LEVEL, BUT THERE ARE ALSO ARSEHOLES IN OTHER SECTIONS OF THE GROUND - INCLUDING THE REDACTION BIT!!

IT WOULD BE WRONG TO CATEGORIZE EVERYONE IN THAT SECTION AS COPORATE TOSSERS/MIDDLE CLASS BAND-WAGON JUMPERS WHO ARRIVE LATE AND LEAVE EARLY!!

NEEDS MUST FOR SOME GOONERS, AND MANY SUPPORTERS WERE ONLY ABLE TO PURCHASE A SEASON TICKET VIA THE CLUB LEVEL METHOD DUE TO LACK OF AVAILABILITY ELSEWHERE IN THE STADIUM.

WHEN YOU THINK OF THE FINANCIAL OUTLAY FOR DB10GOONER ANYTIME HE VISITS, HE IS ENTITLED TO CONSIDER HIMSELF AS REAL A SUPPORTER AS ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM!!

Thanks for the support there IHH!! 8)

I should have added that with the exchange rate those amounts are nearly doubled in Euros and the cost of living in Ireland (especially Dublin) is very high. 2nd highest in Europe I think.

UFG, I'd be inclined to agree with you. The free beer at half time is overated. You only get the time for two quickly guzzled pints (probably why alot of the corporate guests leave before half time and arrive back into the second half). It's pathetic really... miss part of the game for what? One, maybe two extra free beers? Pointless...

The only real advantage is there is way less queuing for food and beer and the bars are pretty comfortable. And you might bump into a Legend (like Bob Wilson - which I did 8) ).

there once was this bloke who was scouse
his penis was shaped like a mouse
he liked strutting about with the thing hanging out
so he wouldn't have cats in his house!

sorry couldn't resist.
