MORE BAD BUSINESS BY THE GOONERS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

MORE BAD BUSINESS BY THE GOONERS

Post by northbankbren »

So Reyes has finally gone (thank god!!!) but the transfer for me marks another piece of bad business from the club. Reyes cost the club 15 million pounds when he signed, then add his wages to that. Reports are suggesting that the fee he has left of is 4 to 5 million. Darren Bent cost more than Henry, and Freddie was let go on the cheap as a token gesture from the club. IT’S A JOKE!!! Why are Arsenal always held to ransom buy wantaway players and the buying clubs. Look at Charlton for example who held out on selling Bent until the fee they wanted was reached. This is why so many foreign clubs publicly announce their interest in our players, because the club are prone to panic selling. Wenger and the board need to have a much stronger stance in the transfer market. To buy from the best you have to pay the best fee!

How much money did we lose when we sold Mr "glass ankles" Jeffers?

Dont forget we only paid £10.5m for Henry.£4m for Vieira and £3m for Freddie. They gave us great value for money and we sold them for a big profit.

cant comment on the rest .. but methinks this reyes deal was one deal that we could afford to lose money on.

Imagine the crunt remaining another year, probably on the bench or feigning injuries and being paid fat wages ... damn, any money from selling reyes is smart money .. he was a con, so you are never sure how quickly the interested teams would discover this fact and lose interest ....

It was reported in the currant bun that he went for 8.5 mil - so thats not so bad. Remember how much we got La Sulk for and how much we flogged him to Barcawanker for, I think La Boss made somewhere around 19.5 mil for him. Another good thing about getting rid of him that is the cold one and him that fucks his missus with a mobile is that we are not paying their wages anymore, same goes for Freddie. So there must be a plus out of all this, I hope...........

I would have taken a Mars bar and a packet of crisps for Reyes.

Fuck it, just a packet of crisps if it was those T-Bone Steak Roysters.

Scampi Fries and Cheesy Moments are the business. Recently went to Macro and found that you can buy them in bulk. Something stupid like 30 packs for £4.

Commence mad rush to Macro...

Who doesn't love cheese footballs?!

Macro is a cash and carry. I think you need to know someone with a Macro card in order to get in to the place (or maybe it's different these days). Someone you know should have one knocking about. It's one of those wallet fillers that no one actually uses.

Upon entry, it will feel like you're at White Hart Lane, as most of the scum of the earth shop there (apologies to anyone on this forum who shops there, I didn't say that everyone who shops there is scum (indeed, I was there...) I'm just saying that a large chunk of the people there are scum). Still, as they say; it's always darkest before dawn. After a bit of shopping around, you should find the Cheesy Moments and Scampi Fries. They are packaged exactly the same way as you'd find them in a pub - on the long bit of cardboard.

yeah know what you're talking about, although round my way it's bookers, not macro (unless they've changed their name, could be it's a while since i've been) you find stuff there that you just can't get in the normal shops, cherry 7Up anyone?
