mancs sell 'the future of the club'
i know its not strictly Arsenal discussion but the news on the BBC Sport site that manure have sold Giuseppe Rossi for £6m to Villarreal caught my eye.
Just a year ago Ferguson described him as the future of the club and tied him to a long term contract and yet after a successful loan spell in Italy he's been allowed to leave for an offer that was too good to turn down.
This to me speaks volumes about the way manure are running their club compared to the mighty Arsenal. Selling the future off cheap to finance the overpriced hargreaves in the present.
Can you imagine Arsene selling Cesc? Denilson? Bendtner? Diaby? on the cheap before they've blossomed just to help finance bringing in the english Flamini? not likely.
Or even ten years ago old red nose saying to gary neville, sorry you tosser i know you're the future of this club but we need gazza?

its not that im concerned with them so much as the state of football. i'm a little scared that arsenes "backwards" thinking towards the future may mean us getting a)rid of wenger and chasing instant silverware b) left quite a long way behind.
when i think like this i suddenly start to worry instead of my usual optimistic self

who cares about wat manure do, its about what arsenal do that matters to me andevery1 else on this forum.....common now, jus be optimistic, emirates cup we beat the itallian champions ok wasnt there strongest side but nor was ours was it, the futures bright the futures red n white.....ARSENE WENGERS RED N WHITE ARMY!!!!
Am i being a tad over suspicious over this piece when I ask if it is a reference to the glazier takeover and it inferring that we may have to do the same policy if we sell out to kroenke ? If not I apologise but I am one if those conpsiracy theorists (fox mulder if you like) and often look not at what was said but what wasnt said - remember the truth is out there.
Anyway sorry to reign on your parade but our own history of selling off promising youth is exactly whiter then white - graham barrett, arturo lupoli, sidwell & aliadaire were all meant to be future stars for us but it didnt work out that way. It might be that old ferguscum no longer believes that rossi will make it at the top level. We need to get our own house in order 1st before we look elsewhere especially when it all honestly we will probably lose cesc next summer (unless we have a fab season - no pun intended) when one of the spanish "giants" (c*nts) unsettle him again.

From what I saw of Rossi he was never going to be the future of the club. You can file him under the list of crap buys that everyone forgets that the so called 'best manager in the league' has wasted money on
Any other manager who pissed away millions on crap players as often as he does would have been sacked. Wasn't Djemba Djemba the future too? or was that Veron?

The reason Manure have sold Rossi is he is not good enough to get into they 1st team. The same reason we sold the likes of Bentley,Stokes and Sidwell. What good is keeping a player if he has no chance of first team football and you can get £6m for them. And they sold him to a club that will not hurt them in the future
rossi / dumb predictions
I just hope Rossi ends up...scoring loads of Spanish goals; wins loads of domestic titles and bangs one in against Manwho in the Champions League (or UEFA cup!) Just to make their fans sick to the stomach with regret.
Another thing...did anyone read the pre-season experts predictions on Teamtalk.com - only one of them had Arsenal winning anything and he was an Arsenal fan! The rest had us finishing 5/6th & Spurs winning UEFA and finishing 4th! It made my blood boil.
