song for club level

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

DB10 is never going to slum it with you Limerick lads!

DB10 - How much does your friend pay for club level and what do you get for the money?
Don't know the exact amount but in the region of two grand (in Euro's I think) per ticket  . He got two of them, rather than get engaged. Instant legend status!! 8) He's sound with it too; any game he's not going to he sells on to our crowd of Irish (and a couple of English) Gooners at face value so he can afford to buy the tickets again each season. 8) 8)

Can't give too much detail RE him as he reads alot of this stuff but won't tell me if he posts! The bowzy!

As far as I can tell the benefits are he is guaranteed (obviously) every home game for PL, cup ties and CL games. Away games are still done on a credits thing, I think. With those tickets you don't queue at turnstiles you walk in through a kind of security "reception area" and swipe your card on a reader and then it's up the stairs to Club Level.

The restaurants are lovely with top notch food and the bars are pretty nice too, bit lacking in atmosphere though due to the number of coroprate day tripprs. You ain't gonna get a Rocket style (or old North Bank bar stylr) sing along up there!! :(

I suppose it's about comfort and facilities really. As I said he kinda took what he could get. We all have red membership but queuing on the phone for five hours and usually not getting a ticket is a pain in the Nat King so it's easier to use the club level tickets, if a bit dearer...

Thanks for the kind offer, Rebel. I might take you up on it after Christmas if I can sneak an extra game past the good lady wife!!  8)

We'll have to try and get a few of my boys and a few of yours to the same game at some stage this year. Only deffo one for me at the moment is Derby Co on 22nd Sept (IF sky  don't f*ck with the date!).

I was in club level Sunday and it was ok!

To be honest its fuck all special and I was expecting a bit more!

What I didnt like though is as its only a s amml seating area and not deep you have a Hitler Youth (steward) right on top of you!

Was concerned I was gonna get slung out for celebrating RVP's winner!

Still as I said to me Dad on the phone nothing beats standing on The North Bank so maybe I will never be truely happy!

Please dont think for one minute though that Club Level is posh! True it aint the noisiest part of the ground but I think we could level that at most areas couldn't we?

im not entirely sure the fuss about club level is justified - yes the problems are that you get many 'corporate people', and i was up there for the west ham game, and was absolutely disgusted to see how many 'fans' had given their tickets up to their west ham mates - disgusting. But to say they leave early, arrive late, leave for beer etc. is a little OTT - the only reason its more noticeable is because the club level seating sticks out - its only something like 10 rows, so when people leave early its picked up on. In the spudz league cup game, i saw plenty from all levels leaving early for drinks, the only real problem is that many are not true supporters up there. Yes ive been in club level, and the stewards are absolute *word censored*, ur not aloud to stand up - i missed adebayor's goal against fulham because some steward told me to sit down, i turn round to give him a bollocking and the *word censored* celebrating - wot a prick. even supporters tell me to sit, whihc really gets me pissed off. But there are however plenty up there who get behind the team.
Like an article i read from a club level supporter up there, many ahve been supporting arsenal fro years, and since they've made their money, are relatively older, feel that they can relax and enjoy sitting and watching the game - and they are ploughingmoney into the club to counter our debts. To be honest, im more pissed off with the twats buying a white away strip, or that horrible third strip - obviously brainwashed by the herbert chapman garbage - talk about nike draggin his name thru the mud!!

Bren, suck my arse.

Good points about CL there Tom. 8)

My mate's brother had a bit of a verbal with a corporate Scouse fan last season. Our lot were singing "Sign on, Sign on... With a pen in your hand..." and this Scouse woman turns round to my mate's bro and says "Get your own song". He promptly told her to get her own f*cking seat.  8)

Away fans aren't allowed wear their colours up there but they dilute the atmosphere a bit. I have to say the area we sit in is mostly Gooners that sing. There are a few f*ckers that just sit there but they've never had the nerve to ask us to sit down or be quiet; probably because we are usually fairly p*ssed up and singing and yelling like mad men!

Funny enough the only time a steward said anything to me was when I tried to take a photo of my brother with the sky box in the background. The crunt steward kept yelling "No Photo's mate!"

I asked him what the problem was as flashbulbs were popping all over the stadium. He said I wasn't aloud to photo the sky box!! Like I wanted a picture of Merse's big fat face slurping down the prawns or Jamie "never was" Redknapp slurping someone's schlonger ( )!

So I got the other side of the bro and took the photo. No problems then.

Same problem i had in Cardiff when i tried to take a picture of the league cup, there's some lazy stewards as one of them was on his ass watching the game the whole time, wankers 8)

just realised i may ahve been a little harsh to those buying our new strips - i guess at the end of the day, anything with an arsenal logo on is only a good thing, and we are leaving in a postmodern age where imitation and mish-mashing of styles is the norm. JUst hearts me to see us not wearing our yellow and blue away from home!!

I thought the kits were meant to last 2 seasons meaning that our new home shirt will be out next year and our away and third kit will be out the following.

nxt season is a new home strip, 2nd strip becomes the third kit and 3rd strip is gone,, that way arsenal can bring out 2 strips every season.. so our new rugby shirt only gets one year

yeh is saw that - in the club charter somewhere, the home kit stays for two seasons, whilst the away is primary for only one, and then a new away one comes in. looks like il be havin to buy next season, unless we decide on pink or something drastic!!
