Drop Gallas

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Drop Gallas

Post by digger »

Useless *word censored*, he's to blame for 75% of our goals conceded in the league so far this season. :banghead: Hopefully we'll see Toure and Silvestre in the middle against Porto.

Will never happen, said before he is the problem.

Agree, if the team don't function they don't either.

He is without doubt our best CB but I think the fact that he is also our captain is too much for him. He cannot organise the defence and still defend himself.

Why does he switch off at corners? A very good centreback in open play, a goal scoring threat, a leader but whenever we concede a corner, he might as well go up to the half way line for all the use he is

I have to say I think Toure was at fault for the goal more than Gallas. He wasn't exactly making it easy for Gallas, and as the ball went in was no where near anyone let alone marking anyone!!

But thats the annoying thing, they are both quality centre backs.......just not together!!!

Anyone know if Silvestre is actually fit now?

Gallas has gone backwards since we signed him, )Cole has gone backwards since Chelsea signed him but that was because of his ankle injury mainly)

The Gallas - Toure partnership just is not good enough, and was creaking last season too.

i think sanderous toure and glass are all CAK

good enough to challence for 4th only

if you want to win the league

you need players like terry, vidic, carvalhio, ferdinan, agger

too may goals at set peices and corner given away

I agree with Quartz that Gallas has gone backwards since he joined Arsenal. Then again, Wenger has gone backwards since Gallas joined Arsenal.
