As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I was listening to a interview with Boris on LBC with Nick Farrari and Nick ask what London football team would he compare he's team to ? would it a well oiled machine like Arsenal or a poor team like Tottenham! well played that man
People voted this guy in not because they liked him,or they hated Livingstone, they weren't voting against labour, they weren't voting for constervative, they were voting against Gordon Brown and Blair....."for change" (IN OTHER WORDS IRAQ).
Nothing has changed...
Congestion Charge due to rise.
Train and Bus Fairs due to rise.
Counsil Tax due to rise.
Traffic...The Same.
Delays in Public Transport...The Same.
Public Services...The Same.
I'm not saying that things under Livingstone would have been much different...BUT the city would have been in better hands, in fact Boris was the worst guy who could have been voted in.
He is a puppet. How many party members have already been forced or walked out on him.
He never had any policies of his own and has proved that by inforcing none of his, but many of Livingstones policies.
IF YOU DID VOTE FOR HIM........ARE YOU STILL HAPPY WITH YOUR VOTE?
To be fair, I think you have to give Boris more time before you can expect to start seeing changes. These things can't be done overnight.
I have always voted labour (although I don't vote anymore) but have always thought Livingstone was fighting a personal crusade and disliked him for it.
At least with Boris I do believe he has London and Londoners best interests at heart and so he has a fighting chance.

I think like all politicians, Boris has the best interests of Boris at heart. Id Cameron wins the next election as looks likely right now, then he will get credit for having started the revival. If the Tories narrowly lose it is not his fault and will have enhanced his poilitical career.
All I can say is if you vote for a bufoon and a bufoon wins, don't be surprised if he does stupid things or ignores election committments. It appears that how you come across on TV is now more important than anything else. We get the politicians we deserve. Or at least 40% of us do, the rest just have to get on with it.
I love Boris! I don't think I've ever seen such an inept bumbling fool as him in all my life. His appearances on HIGNFY are the stuff of legend. He always manages to raise a smile.
What he is like as a politician I have no idea but he is world class in entertainment value.
