Are these possibile signings ze old Red Herring?

Post by lowerwest »

All gone quiet again hasnt it after the murmurings of the weekend. AW has done this sort of thing before by saying we are a bit short of time or that transfers have mysteriously fallen off the radar. Everyone is saying we are 2 or 3 players..why arent we acting?

Trouble is he has done a U turn before... yes we will be buying someone becomes we may be a bit short or i will only buy super class players. The thing that pisses me off is that on our day with our top 11 out there is NO ONE who can touch us in England.Constantly though we are playing with one arm tied behind our backs. Given some consistent investment we would be top notch....and wanky Chelsea and Moan U know it.

too right lower west. We still need further investment, Should we lose RVP for a long period ( and it has happened in the last 2 seasons) we will be severely lacking experience up front. If the new bloke gets a permit , it would be him and Ade with Bendtner and theo available. I cannot see many goals there either.
One of these seasons we might get caught out and not finish top 4 , it is the head in the sand treatment that worries me.

trust in arsene lads
although i wouldd like to see more action in the transfer market too
then again at least we didnt waste god knows how much on two of the biggest disappointments in the prem last year i.e ballack and shevchenko

the thing is everyone else is strengthening around us spending £50m - ManUre - to strengthen a side that won the title, or £40m in Sperz case to try & reach their holy grail of finishing above us.

I know that spending money is not a guarantee of success but our squad is light sometihng arsene has admitted, & we were unusually short of goals last year especially from wide areas - & we have not addressed either of these with our summer comings & goings

you have to pray that (a) Arsene does know & (b) RVP doesn't get injured again !

Not only RVP getting injured but we've got the African Cup of Nations to worry about!

That means losing Toure, Ade, Eboue?

I'd even be happy if we didn't get super super players and spend a fortune, ok ideally I'd like a world class left winger and a world class centre back but I'd settle for a 6 million left winger who is actually a left winger rather than a 10 mill central midfielder shoved out there! Unfortunately there is no such thing as a cheap decent centre back :(
