Invincibles’ break-up a positive thing (2/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks for the welcome!

U.F.G Anfield '89 - there were plenty of gooners a few years ago when we won the double but now I seem to be surrounded by ManU and Chelsea fans. Mostly bandwagon jumpers that I meet but I'm sure there are some around. I just haven't met them yet. In fact, last year in my endless search for tickets I met someone who lives in Seattle and ended up meeting up at the Gunner pub to watch the game we couldn't get tickets to (Arsenal v. Everton 1-1 thanks to v.Persie's brilliant free kick).

Galasso - I happen to be an Indian living in Canada. Just thought I'd confuse you further!

After watching the brilliant runs by Clichy in the Lazio game, I think we're well covered in that position. Right back is covered thanks to Eboue and Sagna. The only concern I'd have is down the middle but hopefully Senderos has a consistent season.

Our first team can win any game at any time in any stadium. The only worry I have is in overall depth for player rotation, injuries or international duties. I mentioned it before and I say it again -- hopefully AW signs the two players he says he might want.

Providing you give me at least a couple of months notice of which game you want to attend, I'm sure I could arrange a ticket for you mate.

I should warn you though, that the likelihood of getting a ticket for the really big matches (Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea & Spuds) are much less than a run of the mill Premiership game.

Anyway, with regards to fellow Arsenal fans in North America, isn't there a Canadian Arsenal Supporters Club? You should look on the net or enquire at Arsenal. I know that there are plenty of Supporters Clubs abroad and most manage to arrange visits and get tickets for Arsenal home games at least a few times a season.

Here is a more permanent solution for you: if there isn't an Arsenal Supporters Club in Canada, you should make it your mission to set one up - I'm sure Arsenal will assist - to further spread the word of The Glorious Gunners around those parts!!

That way, you can organise tickets for games via the club, and trips to England confident in the knowledge you already had a ticket!!

Moderators - I apologise for the triple post. It was not intentional in any way so I'm not trying to hoard the board. When I click submit it takes ages so I'm not sure it goes through which only leads to further clicking. Won't happen again.

Eboue Can't Defend - Thanks for the offer bro! You're my new best friend. Even if you can't get me a ticket, at least you offered and I truly appreciate that.

Good advice about the Supporters group. I'll look into it! We'll have the best supporters' group. It'll be so good you'll wish you lived in Canada

take a look at the 'repeat postings' thread that lives near the top of the 'general chat' section. we all go through this once. quirk of either your connection speed and/or the number of users on the forum placing demands on the server. i have suggested changing the company we use to cope with the latter. but these matters are out of my hands.

technical. financial. don't have much say over either. editorial content, yes, guilty as charged m'lud.
