The Official Arsenal v Everton thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If Cesc does not play it has the feel of a draw.

Andy Linighan anyone? Now that is how you deal with a broken nose. You go up the other end and score the winner with your head in injury time.
Linighan said "well, i won't be picking it for a while" in the post match interview!

Sagna, Gallas and Bendtner definitely out for Everton & Fenerbahce. I'm guessing we'll see Silvestre's first team debut.

I think it'll be hard work against this lot. We're not exactly buzzing are we. I really hope that Vela gets a game.

And I really hope that Eboue has to return urgently to the Ivory Coast and then realises how beautiful it is and stays for life in the mental ward...

I'm not suprised, but Wenger has talked about possibly giving Theo a breather on Saturday, after playing both games for England.

Maybe that means Diaby will start after all... or Denilson or Ramsey on the right? Eboue would be the obvious choice, but with Sagna, Gallas and Djourou out.. I can't see who else would play right back :?

Ah well, lots of variations, but none of them particuarly appealing.

Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas have been passed fit to face Everton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Spaniard broke his nose against Belgium on Wednesday and the Dutchman was struggling with a muscular problem but Arsène Wenger confirmed that both are available for selection against the Toffees.

Johan Djourou will miss the game after suffering concussion while playing for Switzerland last Saturday. Abou Diaby is available for the first time this season.

Despite a lengthy injury list, Wenger admitted that he may rest Theo Walcott after the winger played 79 minutes for England on Wednesday night.

“Fabregas and Van Persie will be available,â€
