The official Arsenal v Fenerbache thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It would have been a tough game even if we had a fully fit squad available. The fact that we so many key players out including 3 of our 4 first choice back four will not help. Going to turkey is always tough, i just hope we dont crumble under the pressure.

I very much doubt you were in Copenhagen against Galatasary, because if you were you would have a very different opinion to the one you have now
Even if you'd said Galatasarey Fans instead of Turks, you'd of still been talking rubbish. I do know what went on, do u think that we want more shit like that going on. :banghead:
If it means some turkish scum getting served up then yeah, im all fot it, an eye for and eye in my book
I agree with N5, and its nothing to do with my greek cypriot heritage

i still think even with the injuries we have we can get 3 points tomorrow night. im looking forward to seeing how silvestre perfroms again, and djourou who i rate and gives us height. i would also like to see diaby play next to cesc. i think tomorrow for djourou and silvestre if they play and play well, while there is still question marks about our defence can hopefully give wenger options at the back. while im not so confident in eboue i thought he played well 2nd half on saturday at right back

almunia
eboue
djourou
silvestre
clichy
walcott
diaby
cesc
nasri
ade
van persie

I agree with you here but your first comment was a bit childish

Nah, never grass up fellow fans. Standing up? Do it as much as I can, wish I could all game. Swear? All the fucking time.

If any of our 'fans' (and I use the term loosely) want to go out looking for opposing fans to attack, they can go right ahead, and yeah, I wouldn't do a thing to help, cos their actions could get me stabbed also. Though if a decent fan just wanting to watch the football was caught up in some violence, then of course I'd try and do the decent thing and help.
Have you been caught up in a proper football fight? I have (by accident), and it wasn't very nice at all!
This was going to be a dodgy game for our fans to attend as it is, and didn't need things like stabbing being brought up!

Back to the game. Alumunia has been named Captain. Dunno why Cesc couldn't have been given it for the game. I'm sure he would have coped, and maybe given a good indication for him being a future captain.

I never thought I would see the day when Manuel captained Arsenal outside of a Carling Cup game and frankly I find it a sad state of affairs!

However, I have sussed out why he has been chosen! It is all down to haircuts you see.

Gallas got the armband on the strength of his Mr T mohican, Toure for his new Jackson 5 fro and now Blondies has it for his Kajagoogoo retro mullet!

Cesc has caught onto this hence the reason for him developing a My Little Pony's mane look witch matching hair accessories.

Watch out for other captaincy contender Clichy growing a Dave Lee Travis all over beard!

I'll be happy with a draw tonight and giving them a good thrashing back at the Grove. Oh and no trouble!

Oh shit Rosicky is unavailable!!!
So my team will be

Almunia
Eboue
Djourou
Silvestre
Clichy
Theo
Diaby
Cesc
Nasri

Rvp

I think Ade should be rotated and sit on the bench.

score 4-0 win for us and hopefully no injuries or stabbings!
