I cant believe that the captain of our club is stupid enough to get caught doing this. Its his business if he wants to fuck up his career by smoking let him go ahead but he has a duty as captain to be a role model and kids that see the picture will think that it is ok to smoke because Capi does
For fuck sake people, it's a ciggarette not a a bomb he's got in his hand. Loads of players smoke including, Rooney, Berbatoss, Figo etc etc. Did people slate Tony Adams when he broke out with his problems . We all know Gallas is'nt our preffered captain, but c'mon people lighten up (no pun intended).
Could'nt give a fuck if he smokes and if he was running round the pitch with the premier league trophy in his hands neither would anyone else. My only problem with the guy is that he's one of the worst captains I've ever seen pull on an Arsenal shirt and if he left tomorrow my reaction would be total indifference
I still don't see the problem here... the health problems with smoking are related to high amounts of exposure over a long amount of time, and an unhealthy life style. The occasional puff on a night out won't kill him (not immediately anyway).
I have to say that I am one of the members on here that has very much turned against gallas. That said however I do think this shite about gallas having a cig is way beyond ridiculous and I am very much in the non smoker group. On the 1st page of this thread I made a jokey comment about him not smoking anything that would improve his performance because I thought this was going to be that type of thread. However it now appears to have gone the other way and for me I dont agree with that at all - slate him for his lack of leadership and poor defending but when you use this as a stick to beat him with then you are just weakening your position on those valid arguements when they arise
