Just out of interest. Who is happy with Arsene Wenger been manager of Arsenal Football Club.

Too complicated to give an answer to.

Am I happy that we didn't sign a holding midfielder or centre back? no!
Am I happy with out total disregard for the defensive side of our game? no!
Am I 100% happy that our team is getting younger every season, yet we're supposed to be patient whilst they mature? no!

But... am I happy with Wenger as manager of Arsenal??? YES!.. but that doesn't mean I don't have concerns, because I do.

Not happy at all

i cant see us winning anything in the foreseeable future

as much as i love arsene

trophys matter

the perfect scenario would be for him to finally win the champions league hes wanted for so long and then go and enjoy his retirement

he is a good manager, not the best strategist of all-time, he loves the club, he wants fans singing, he has a bust in arsenal stadium, we need a real chance of winning something...he must buy REAL good players...

Very very unhappy with our transfer policy

Very very unhappy at wenger's myopic view on players like almunia who I'm sure are nice lads but not good enough to be 1st choice at a club like ours

Unhappy with the managers reluctance to drop or sub a player like greedybayor who is not doing enough and doesnt appear to care enough

Wenger cannot beat the young players drum and then not give players like vela and bedtner a chance when those ahead of them are not performing

Very happy with wenger's acheivements in the past but he has to remember that the last trophy he won was 4 years ago and he was blessed to win/steal that from manure too. He is without doubt the best manager ever to grace our club but everybody in every walk of life has a certain shelflife and right now you would have to question whether wenger is outliving his. I hope and pray that he comes back and proves me wrong but things like his judgement on players suggests that he may not be as sharp as he once was and I would hate to see the man ruin his own legacy by wiping out all the good he did and leaving us where we were when he arrived - classing clubs like villa and the scum as our main rivals instead of the manures of this world

IN ARSENE WE TRUST

or we SHOULD trust. Who are we to say what Arsene has to do? HE is the one with them in training, HE is the one thats been watching them for years, HE knows their potential. I can point out flaws like our lack of experienced centre backs or holding mids but then again I havent won the premier league, FA cup and found the greatest player in this clubs history in the form of Henry.

I like your optimism, Jim

Firstly, all of the achievemnets you've mentioned - as impressive as they are! - seem to tail off about 4-5yrs back. And as no one is doubting what great achievements Wenger has had over the years, I'm not sure how relevant they are now.

I don't know how old you are, but even as recently as George Graham, we saw what can happen when a manager stays on too long, and goes stale.

I'm not saying that is happening to Wenger, but I'm concerned that major flaws in our team are not being addressed from one season to the next - which, considering money was available, is a little hard to undertsand.

My concern is that Wenger has got so engrossed in his youth experiment that his focus has shifted from winning trophies at all costs, to developing youth players as a first priority, and trophies second.
- I don't see (or hear in interviews) the same ruthless attitude in Wenger as we saw in Mourinho, who was obssessed with winning trophies... can we say the same for Wenger?

I'm not so sure, and that concerns me.

Pretty much on the button there Augie.

But again you site Almunia as a problem. On Tuesday he was - AGAIN - our best player.

If he had TA6 and Bouldy in front of him he'd be that much better.

Problem is, as you said, a failure to make a couple of judicious signings in CD and CM coupled with his bizarre fixation on certain players whom he will not drop.

My main concern is that Wenger can handle football types. That is Ferguson and Mourinhio who are his rival managers. But he seems clueless as to the change the Ruskie has wrought at Stamford Bridge and the still greater change coming from Man City.

Whether he likes this or not, these are the facts of Prem' life.

Not amount of whining from him can disguise that; and he shows little sign of coming to terms with it , other than continually bleating about the 'great young' brigade, who are not great at all - until they win something.
