As an Essex boy a win against them is one of the more satisfying results
especially as we were surrounded by the fuckers, it was only at the Legion tho so it was a higher class of Garnet and not the real low life
Really satisfying tho after enduring their shite for most of the game and made sure our cheers for the goals were extry loud

i agree mate, i ain't from there but have loadsa mates that are. and i live in the east end anyway so i'll be wearing a huge smile whenever im around themcharliegeorgewhocanhitem wrote:As an Essex boy a win against them is one of the more satisfying resultsespecially as we were surrounded by the fuckers, it was only at the Legion tho so it was a higher class of Garnet and not the real low life

Finally Arsene makes an offensive substitution. Keeping Nik and Van Persie on (although they had merited a substitution) with Ade and Diaby was brilliant. Van especially seems much more comfortable and effective on the outside and Ade, unlike Nik, will actually stay in the box and up top like he should!
I have to give special mention to Gallas, Almunia, and Song. The former two were absolutely perfect and brilliant. Song started out slow but was extremely effective in the second half breaking up plays and actually getting forward and completing passes. Keep Denilson out, please (and take Silvestre too). Go on Gooners!

I'm south essex and in a very West Ham populated Area. I made it my mission to wind them up as much as possible at t'pub and i think it worked. Every time they fouled i would sing "same old west ham, always cheating", when they would sing blowing bubbles i would wait for the split second they finnished and they pipe up with, "one song, you've only got one song, you've only got one song.", luckly by the time some one barked back, "whats your fucking song" we had taken the lead so i could respond with a bit of the old "one nill, to the aresenal, one nil, to the arsenal"

just want to say a couple of things. had a look back to some of the comments on this thread....unbelievable. RVP was good yesterday and to those in the past that doubt adebayor, your just stupid. it was a hard fought victory yesterday, west ham played well in terms of trying to break up arsenals play.
i get the impression some of you people dont get to the games and so see some kind of distorted view of things from the tv. it was a HARD game and we won, enough said.
ps atmosphere was incredible, well done lads

I just counted 5 refrences to smoking, in the first 4 paragraphs of the online sun's game review. Now thats what i call journalisim.
IN a week when SunSport caught Arsenal team captain William Gallas with a fag hanging out of his mouth, it is the Gunners who are really smoking.
No ifs and definitely no butts. Arsenal should come with a Government health warning stamped on their shirts, as they can seriously damage your title chances.
The three points gained at Upton Park in what proved an attacking slug-fest moved Arsene Wenger’s men to within a point of Chelsea and four behind new Premier League leaders Liverpool.
West Ham promised so much but eventually disappeared in a puff of late smoke — stubbed out in the final 15 minutes by an own-goal from Julien Faubert, a well-taken strike by sub Emmanuel Adebayor and a red card for Carlton Cole.
quality day on sunday, here are a few videos from the game and our fantastic support.

Yeah, saw that myself. Was half expecting the next reference to say something like “the fag ash fell to the floor after a light tapâ€Magic Merse wrote:I just counted 5 refrences to smoking, in the first 4 paragraphs of the online sun's game review. Now thats what i call journalisim.

On Sunday 26 October, members of Maidstone Arsenal Supporters Club successfully completed a sponsored 10-mile walk - the distance between Emirates Stadium and Upton Park - to see Arsenal’s Premier League fixture against West Ham United, in aid of the Gunners’ dedicated Charity of the Season, Teenage Cancer Trust.
Over 20 members of the Maidstone Arsenal Supporters Club met at the canons outside Emirates Stadium at 9am on Sunday and arrived at Upton Park in good time to catch Arsenal’s 2-0 victory away to the Hammers. The Maidstone Gooners have so far raised nearly £4,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust from this event alone and look to raise further funds throughout the season which all contribute to Arsenal’s overall fundraising target of £300,000 for the partnership.
Maidstone Arsenal Supporters Club Secretary Graham Stubbles said: “The walk was a huge success, taking a little over three hours to complete and despite it raining from start to finish, everyone was in great spirits throughout. The three points at Upton Park made it a fantastic day all round too!
“Our original target was set at £500 but Maidstone ASC members, friends, family and other Arsenal supporters have proved to be incredibly generous and supportive with donations through our Justgiving website. We are still to collate the exact figures but the total raised on the day will be somewhere between £3500 and £4000! An awful lot of effort has been put in by everyone to make the day such a success and we couldn't be more pleased as to the way it went.â€
