As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
can't say i'm bothered either way. still can't see him taking over at ours for a long time if ever. i don't buy into the old boy/great player coming back bit. if that was the case we could make an argument for pat rice getting the job and he's has been working with a genius for the past ten years not to mention the years spent with the grind-out specialist merchant GG
It's good to see legends stay in the game. I can see a bunch of our former players becoming managers. Tony, Dennis already started. I can see Thierry and Paddy having a go as well but not sure how succesful they'll be.
Good luck to him, Pompey will be my second team now!
Lets just hope he doesn't do an O'deary and try his best to ruin his relationship with the club that gave him his career.
Sweet, i can't be anything other than pleased for the guy.
Like a previous post states, its nice to see 'old boys' still in the game in a more managerial role, especially one of ours. Following his path at pompley its quite clear he was gunning for managerial role and given some time i reckon he could be a very good one. I do t hink he should come back to Arsenal in some capacity, the amount of time he spent with us as a very successful and experienced player as well as over coming persoanl problems i dont think there is anything that you cannot learn from such a person so to have him on side would only be a good thing.
It'll be nice to see an Arsenal legend at the grove as a manager.
Hope he does well at pompey, bar 2 games of the season.
