DAILY MAIL INSULTS ADAMS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nothing short of amazing the things Adams has achieved in his playing career - and even more amazing that he has managed to turn his life around when he was at rock bottom!

He done his time as coach at Wycombe, and as assistant to Redknap. He well deserves his chance at Pompey and good luck to him!!

In a previous thread i wrote that I hoped that Paul Gascoigne would pull through all his demons in good time. He suffers the curse that afflicts so many ordinary people in this world, and once afflicted Tony Adams.

Like a lucky few, Tony Adams has confronted the wrongdoings of his past, admitting he had/has a problem, and did all he could to overcome it. And he did so with great success.

For people like Gazza and others who continue to suffer from addictions, Tony Adams should be the shining light example of how people can turn their own lives around and prove to the world that they are not bad people who should be shunned for errors made in the past, but as people who as long as they are willing to change, should be given a chance to redeem themselves.

Tony has done just that and the Daily Mail have done themselves no favours by ignoring his off the field achievements.

And as if dating Caprice was something to be ashamed of, is this jounalist guy some sort of eunuch?

The Daily Mail is as much remembered for it's support of Hitler's Germany and Moseley's black shirts in the 30s as it is for it's reactionary right wing insecure rantings of a middle aged male menopause victim.
The Mail was also a big fan of General Franco during the Spanish Civil War, so you probably can't expect much in the way of balanced and objective journalism from it. I'm just surprised they managed to print a whole article that didn't refer to house prices, immigration or weekly f**king bin collections.

Persoanlly i find Adams a little strange now days with some of his comments.

I'm damn sure if i was the Portsmouth Chairman i wouldn't take a chance on someone basically unproven at this level, come to that, any decent level, total madness.

I don't get that, how does one get the experience if they're not tried? Are they born with some sort of experience gene?

Were Liverpool mad to take a chance on Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish all of whom had no experience at that level?

Was Tottenham's decision to appoint Ramos pearls of wisdom considering that he had won European trophies and managed a Champions League side, hence having top level experience?

Brand temporarily suspended, he will be back.

He needs a kick up the backside for what he did anyway, he was out of order.

Maybe it is my age showing but I think Andrew Sachs has more talent in his little finger than Russell Brand has in his whole career so far.

Ah, was at the game tonight, had not heard Brand had resigned, was focussing on other matters but thanks for pointing that out.

He will be back though, Angus Dayton and Jamie Theakston came back after scandals.

Tony Adams = Legendary, tough-tackling, awe-inspiring Arsenal and England captain, famed for a 19 year career at one club, the biggest in Britain; a man who overcame personal demons to become an even better footballer and man.

Daily Mail = Nasty, zenophobic, racist, hysterical right-wing purveyor of middle-class, middle-England scaremongering b*lls*it.

Most righthinking people know that Tony Adams is an inpiration.

Most right-thinking decent people know that the Mail is full of offensive sh*te.

Tabloid newspapers outrage at Russell Brand's shocking vulgarity, bullying, celebrity humiliating, invasion of privacy and voyeuristic exposure of someone's sex life.

Fuck me what next?

Jonathon King's outrage at Michael Jackson's admittance to sleeping with young boys?

Brand and Ross were OTT.

The grandaughter carries herself like a tart but it was wrong to publically humiliate an innocent Andrew Sachs.
