Arsenal players are arrogant, cocky and complacent (31/10)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

usual thread starter… no mincing of words here. And you know what. I find myself nodding in agreement with all of it!

I agree 100%. Wenger is treating the club like his own private train set. The problem is that he now has so much power within the club and there is nobody on the board who is likely to take him to one side an explain that a 4th season without a trophy will not be acceptable. Until that happens, nothing is likely to change.

100% in agreement!

For this tosser (Wenger) to go on about how we played negative for the last few minutes of the game which allowed Spurs to draw the game, AND,... AND to conveniently forget that it was HE who substituted our attack so that he could bring on some useless w*nkers, beggars belief.

The fault is Wengers!

Wenger, get it sorted or f*ck off!

I thought the writing was on the wall when we didn't try and sign Torres, a perfect replacement for Henry.
It seemed we were going back to the bad old days when Liverpool were a bigger club than us for him to go there rather than to us.
People have argued that with all our debts we couldn't possibly have afforded him but when players of his calibre become available a big club like we were then, should have pulled out all the stops to get him. £20 million was a snip and he is only ( only !) on £89000 a week, just £9000 more than the clown we have up front at the moment.
If we had bought Torres I am sure we would have won at least one trophy last year which would have paid back some of the initial outlay anyway.
It's ok to have strikers who can score against easy opposition or when we're playing well but we dropped points in important matches when we needed a quality striker to put the chances created away.
The squad last season was not big enough and we didn't have enough strength in depth which ultimately cost us winning a trophy.
We have not added to that squad and our weaknesses are there to see.A lot of us are not surprised about results this season as Wenger seems to have lost the plot.
As soon as the transfer window closed with no replacement for Flamini and other obvious positions that needed strengthening it was obvious we were going to have an up and down season with no consistancy.
And Arsene, what is it with Eboue? For God's sake ( and ours ) let Ramsey have a game now and then.

I do not believe the payers are arrogant or cocky at all.

The problems are:

The ability of some players is not what is required,

The bizarre team shape that Wenger has been sending out,

The lack of layers in key positions,

The loss of form of Gallas and Toure at the same time.

Am I the only person that is absolutely furious. These guys are arrogent, petulant and lazy. They don't have a set of balls between them. You can't blame a guy for not being good enough but you can for not showing the required commitment.

To be honest Im very very worried. Playing like this 4th will be a good finish. Villa and Man City canboth take 4th for diffrent reasons. Wenger needs to buy in January that said I dont think he will. Miss out on Champions league next year and god knows what will happen. Gallas is a joke, I now believe he would have put one in his own net when with Chelsea.

Come on Lads pull the socks up. :barscarf:
