Arsenal Box Office in chaos once again (8/8)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal Box Office in chaos once again (8/8)

Usual thread starter… There’s no question there has been an almighty cock up this summer – and part of the reason is doubtless the time the club took to sort the 4,500 season ticket holders who requested to move seat. Quite simply, the club did not have enough staff in place to get through this process in good time, with a horrendous knock on effect. I know of silver members that have successfully got tickets for Fulham and Man City – by applying by post – but have not received any confirmation email. They found out they had been successful by phoning the club. No question – the box office is in a right two and eight and things could get ugly when people try to get in and find their cards do not work. The paint on the walls of the matchday box office had better be blister proof, that’s all I can say. And a tip for all. 12 noon kick off on Sunday. Get there by 11 in case your cards don’t work. There will be one hell of a queue after 11.30 at the box office and no mistake.

Let's be honest, in any other situation if I paid somebody £1,300 by any means of payment i'd want a reciept. In the case of my season ticket I had nothing back from the club at all. When i phoned to enquire about the season ticket (which I have held for 27 years) i was told that I shouldn't need any confirmation because I'd be using the same swipe card as last year. The faceless voice on the other end of the line informed me that this was now the way that renewals would be dealt with and if i had a problem with that i should contact the club secratary. Another little bit of proof if ever it was needed that my club is being wrestled away from me. So there you have it, my £1,300 has been gratefully recieved and the club doesn't even feel the need to write to me in acceptance of payment.

At least I know now its not just me that's been singled out! However, you can tell where I live by the name, so 'popping by' the Box Office is n't an option.
I emailed membership@arsenal to make sure we would be ok for Sunday, but so far, no response....
Going in the ground at 11.00 does n't fill me with joy, no beer to enjoy!

I've just popped back onto this forum after sending an email regarding this very situation!! Coincidence...

As I am out of the country, I too cannot check by going to the ground. Someone else is having my ticket and I want to make sure they are not stranded on the day. I was indeed on the seat change list - fat use that was!.

I emailed today, but now having discovered this is more of a problem, don't hold out much hope of getting a reply!

Arsenal's replying for emails takes longer than Cashley to get a stiffy when sh*gging Cheryl Tweedy

Just logged in and the wonderful site tells me that "You do not currently hold any valid memberships"! That's strange as the Booking History section of the same site confirms that I paid for the season tickets in April !!!

I also received not one, but two confirmation emails per season ticket - both on the same day!

Think I'll take Ed's advice and get there early on Sunday!

Also not received our two season tickets  - trying to contact the box office is a nightmare; we were advised to turn up on Friday or Saturday for the 'contingency' measures for duplicate tickets. Might be the lowest attendance at the Emirates on Sunday if there are 4,500 of us unable to get in! I received four separate emails confirming receipt of one of my tickets but nothing for the other; I received 6 text messages for both tickets. Who knows what we'll get? :!:

I've just become a red member and that took days to show on my account. Last night I bought a red membership for my son but that doesn't seemed to have worked. I've recieved the confirmation email but the money hasn't been taken out of my account yet. When I did my sons membership I registered him as a new member but when I put inh his username and password it takes me to my own account.

Michaelb,

I think it takes something like twenty eight days for a new membership card to be activated.

Having said that, judging by previous posts on here, it seems even long-time season ticket holders are having trouble getting confirmation for this Sunday's match!! :x

Suppose I'd better check mine is okay!!

Shit!! It's showing that I have no memberships at all, even though there are two Season Tickets and one Silver Membership bought and paid for in my name!! :? :x

I better get in on Sunday without any problems or else there will be hell to pay!!! :x

Yep, that's exactly what I emailed the club about before I read any of this. Looking shit right now - received automatically generated email saying that the box office was, not word for word, snowed under. Can't imagine it's going to be much phoning either.

F**K!

I've had more luck in the past by phoning the club (020 7704 4000) and then asking very nicely to speak to the box office, rather than phoning the box office direct.
