WAS YOUR DAD A GOONER

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thankfully my Dad is/ was a Gooner although he prefers to spend his time fishing now!!

He went to virtually all the games up until me and my brother came along drained him of all his money!

He was lucky enough to have been at the Anderlecht Fairs Cup second leg, as well as the 71' Cup Final but also at Leeds 68 and Swindon 69!!!

I will be forever grateful for him taking us to a reserve game against Chelsea followed a week later by a 3-0 home league win over Manchester City (which was also Paul Merson's debut) during November of 1986 - I doubt my brother and my respective 'better halves' would share that view tho!

my dad is a gooner, and he would never of allowed me to be anything else.
when i was young, him and his mates taught me to say "scum" anytime anyone said "tottenham".

My mates dad is a Tottenham fan! But guess what team my mate supports? Who else, but the mighty Arsenal!

Serves him right!

Rebelgooners dad did not make him become a coventry fan,but he did decorate his bedroom red and white and put a highbury nameplate on his
house just so he would give the big bedroom to his little sister(who is now a manure fan).

Rebel Gooner,

Im sure they will make great reading ! I was hoping to read some of the Gooners stories when I did the new thread " anybody venture out in Amsterdam !" but it seems most people dont want to divulge anything ! (is that a word ?! )
