Brazilian striker signs pre-contract!!!

Post by g88ner »

ok, according to Myles Palmer, but worth mentioning...

Brazilian striker Lenny signs Arsenal pre-contract

He's a small, dribbling striker, not a gangling lump like Ade or RVP.

With a five foot eight inch midfield, and a five foot ten inch defence, Arsenal do need some big strikers. But big ain't always the best way to go.

He's a little bit like Juninho (of Middlesbrough) but more of a goalscoer than a playmaker.

Lenny Fernandes Coelho is 20 years old and born in Rio.

He was dropped last week by Palmeiras for signing a pre-contract to join Arsenal in January.

OK, OK, he's another kid. But how many Brazilian strikers has AW ever signed?

Lenny is worth a try.He might win you the FA Cup.

Here's a YouTube clip.... (I know... YouTube  )

that's the spirit

Hardly the experienced player we're hoping for... and at 20, is still a kid, and at 5'8", he'll probably be as useful as a chocolate teapot against the likes of stoke

That's if he signs of course... as I'm not sure how Myles Palmer got the scoop? :?

And he is on a free

I think that tell's us all we need to know about our transfer policy now. Wenger is turning into 'arry Redcrap now, picking up free transfers and loan players because we don't have a brass washer in the transfer kitty.

Just at a time when we badly need strong defensive players who can put the boot in we get a tiny tot from Rio :banghead:

Oh well, mustn't grumble :?

Miles does get it wrong too, but he gets it right before others do at times with his contacts.

Not unhappy with this signing if true, might spell the end for Jay Simpson? Or preparing the way for Van Persie to leave in the summer?

Have a hunch this kid will be used on the flanks too, as we have no real back up for Theo and Nasri with Rosicky being unfit, Eboue not producing and Vela and Gibbs not used much yet.

Wonder where Barazite will fit in too?

Please not. With Bentdtner alone up front - WE NEED FUCKING COVER THERE. Also, I for one think Theo should play a bit there. :barscarf:

i think they signed this guy to loan him out to our feeder club salamanca as they asked us to get them a south american striker. we have pedro there at the minute and nordveit's loan has been ended because arsenal were unhappy that they were not playing him very much and when they did they played him in midfield
