Atmosphere today

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Atmosphere today

Post by SWLGooner »

I thought it was impressive when a chant started, but it was quiet for periods - I blame the lunchtime KO.

Where I was (block 26) the atmsophere was electric. We stood for about 80% of the game and I think some of the tourists even got carried along by the singing and joined in. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

stood for the whole 96 in block 12, i think the quiet periods were down to people biting their nails, some proper good noise. i was disappointed by the northerners mind you, they were shite.

i think we really got to rooney as well which was nice :barscarf:

and the guy behind me lost his teeth after the first goal

as it should be. noticed watching on the box that blocks 24 and 25 were sitting throughout, where against spurs both blocks were standing all game.

Eh? 25 is ours and I reckon stood for 90 % of the game. I'm pretty sure 24 is the away lot.

next to the away fans, there is the sort of half block and then a full block before the family enclosure starts in block 26. whenever that bit was showed on the box everyone was sitting down, but you was there so are in a better position to comment mate.

I sat in Block 24 and most games I go to I sit there.

It is indeed a half block and a full block added on, just like Block 19.

we sat yes, I was standing up for much of the game to the annoyance of the *word censored* behind me, every time I sang and lifted my arms up he kept moaning at me that I was going to whip him in the face, then kept pushing me down evry time I stood up.

Atmosphere was electric, united were shit, silent for large parts of the game and only a quarter of them singing at 1-0 down, and their goal certainly woke them up, *word censored*. So much for their best away support in England.
