This is what Monday mornings should feel like (10/11)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

usual thread starter… ok then. Predictions for the next 3 matches. Villa home, citeh away and the chavs at theirs…

I reckon 4 points! Sorry. But one swallow does not make a summer. Still, always a joy to beat United, and always will be.

Agreed,

I'm happy most sensible gooners are not getting carried away with the result on Saturday, good though it may be.

United, Chelsea and Liverpool are NOT the teams we have problems with performances against, its the rest of the league.

Soooooo.....irrespective of the result on Saturday, I think a top four finish is going to be the best we can get this season unless purchases take place in January.

I only manage to get to 4 or 5 games a season these days, but luckily I was there on Saturday, and it was just one of the most stupendous games Ive been to in years.

The performance and subsequent result were, in some ways, even more perplexing because of the doubts most of us probably had before the game, and the qustion I had afterwards was "why cant we do that against Stoke?"

Gallas was outstanding! I am confused. Denilson and Diaby looked good and, apart from the backpass at the start of thegame, Sylvestre looked pretty solid. Will they/ can they all be consistently good?

Lets just enjoy the warm glow for now. Hopefully it will continue after tomorrow night and beyond.

You're right it doesn't, but it makes a bloody good night in
(provided you're not the one doing it)

I think 6 points. If we turn up then we can beat the other two but Chelsea are an entirely different prospect. They're very well organised. Sure, we could beat them just as we did Manure but I don't think we will.

This result merely papers over the significant cracks in the team.

Will sound like a broken record but we need:

Centre Back
Defensive Midfielder

Agree also with Quartz.
Obviously brilliant to beat Manure too.
I found I enjoyed the match more ( as when we played Fenerbache ) because Adebayor and Ebuoe were not in the line up even though Bendtner was very disappointing in both matches.
