Did Fabianski make Arsenal's best ever save?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Deffo Seamo; ball came in at point blank range, Seamo had to re-adjust his direction of dive, throw his hand at a ball that had paased him by and propel the ball back out, all in one swift move, in a split second - the fucking strength in that arm was amazing. Best save ever IMHO. 8)
I bet Rebels right arm will be like that when he gets back. After all, he'll have had to have something to fill his time during his exile.
But what in God's name will he use for "inspiration" with no Redtube??!!

Porno mags are no good for him - he can't read!!!

Begrudgingly I will give this award to seaman but naturally enough I couldnt warm to the bloke :o He was a great keeper but he had a shocking weakness when it came to long range shots or free kicks and that is always glossed over. However I still remember the game he played at shite hart lane(I think it was his 1st season with us but I'm not sure) when he almost single-handidly keep the scum at bay 8) :barscarf:

Seaman against Sheff. Utd for the best single save in an Arsenal game like someone else said earlier the ball was behind him and he still managed to claw it out

Seaman v Sheff utd
Jennings 78 cup final from the George Burley header.

But the greatest save ever WAS the Banks save from Pele

Think that was in 1991 season. We should have lost that game about 8-0. The scum were all over us. Seamo was a god that day. 8)

Seaman in my opinion...

I doubt I will ever see a better save than Seaman's against Sheff Utd.

Has to be Seaman v Sheff Utd for me too. We didn't play well that day and that save pretty much put us through to the final. Everyone in the ground thought it was in - and how he kept it out I still don't know.... :barscarf: !!

I was there - saw the ball go in
seaman actually reacted quickly enough that he pulled back the fabric of time
rewound the universe a few frames and scooped back the ball

the classic comparison point for great saves is Banks v Pele,
Seaman's save v Sheff U reminded me of Superman v Lois Lane dying in an earthquake

by a million miles the best save I've ever seen in my entire life
(before that day I think the best save I'd ever seen was Seaman v Zola in the 94 CWC final but that was more to do with the occasion his injury etc)

still love watching it
but seeing it live was ridiculous, no1 could really believe it had just happened

that link got me looking at saves online
check this link out

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nH8_uIOlL ... re=related

1.25 in is an amazing save v kanu
guess it must be fiorentina at wembley when they beat us 1-0
was a draw any good to us that night I can't remember...
(didnt recognise any of their players in the clip)

had a negative vibe about having to go all the way upto wembley
especially as I feel like we didn't play that well there
but we're ripping up the opposition in this clip
very unlucky not to score
