Has anyone ever sneaked into Ashburton Grove without paying?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We'd hand that to the operator and he'd let us in. Then we'd head for the seats at the edge of the NB lower, over beside the East stand and grab the vacant ones... did it probably 3 or 4 times when tickets were hard to get... :?
im very sad that you was invloved with thsi type of crime activity

I think yopu should do the right thing and hand yourself into the police station - may also help you later when you kick the bucket if you go to confession aswell

In the 70s/80s you could do the 2 for 1 deal with the turnstile operator, pay for 1 and he'd let a mate go through with you for a small extry fee. I remember an FA cup quarter final replay at home to chelsea in 73, the official croawd was given as just under 63.000 but you literally could'nt move in the ground, it was just a mass of heaving bodies in the nb and due to the 2 for 1 thing and other jibs around the ground at the time I'd say the crowd was nearer to 70.000 than the official figure, Probably dangerous but who cared when you were 14 and posing in your levis, dms and harrington jacket

Never heard of anyone getting into the stadium for free though remember at Highbury a boy jumped in ahead of me and ducked his way through the turnstile at one of the Tottenham game just a couple of years ago. Got in and must of found a seat cos there was always one place at Highbury that was always empty in certain areas.
Thats why one use to have a duplicate 8)
