Why do they bother coming? Every single fucking home game we have this problem.

When I was at the Utd game last weekend, a woman came and sat next to me, wearing her R&W scarf around her neck, sat down and started reading some book to do with medieval times, like Lord Of The Rings or something like that, and I had no problem with this, even if it was a bit different.

She just sat there all game long, never said a word at all. They piss me off so much. Multiply her by 35000 and there you have it.

You can see them on tele, whenever we take a corner in the North End they just sit there, no encouragement for the players. You see them in the East and West too, especialy as the East Lower is the most shown part as the cameras face it.

Lastly, why the same old drone of "ARSENAL - ARSENAL" at every set piece, it sounds pathetic, a quick burst of it then silence. Much prefer Come On Arsenal TBH.

I think that "Come on You Reds" is the one for corners and free kicks, it used to be at Highbury anyway.

You cannot tar all "corporates" with same brush though.
I have said this before but I gotta repeat it.

I have sat three times in club level (in the first season) and it was normal fans around me who sang, and I have sat in Box Level and it was more animated and fired up in there than it can be at times in the lower! People around me were not "suits" and were singing and shouting as much I hear elsewhere.

I don't know much about the upper tier as I have only sat there twice, for a training day and for the Youth Cup.

I know they are not all the same, but where are they all when we're 2-0 down at home, when we're winning thy are all loud, but that's not how you are supposed to support your team. I've said it before, would be brilliant if they were all bunged up in the East and West Uppers, and also the two middle tiers. Leave all the lowers and North and South Uppers for true fans.

Also saying that the South Upper is awesome, always has been, just a shame the club didn't design the ground with the fans in mind too.

the only way to battle this is, imo, to give them a pice of your mind, if i see someone around me that leaves the game early when we're winning comfortable i tell them that the game hasnt finsihed or you know that stare they give you when you start singing as if you should be ashamed, then i have a real go at them for not adding to the atmosphere. imo its down to us to improve it.

Think it is "cultural" Sutch, the idea of not singing when you are down.

We used to sing when losing at Highbury, because we had so many times that we were losing in games prior to Wenger taking over.

We knew what it meant to show support to a team that were never fancied to win the league, apart from the odd season under Graham.

These days there are many fans who have no idea that we used to be the Underdog club.

They only know about winning, so they cannot relate to getting behind the team when we are losing.

Instead they boo, in the arrogant manner of the newcomer Man Utd fans who think they have a divine right to win the league every year.

No offence, but if some idiot moaned at me for not singing or if i leaved early i would tell them to fuck right off.

I don't need to justify myself to some fella who thinks he is Mr Arsenal, get a grip.

I've honestly not heard that once at AG. I've been in every area of the ground apart from club/box levels, it's like the song has been erased.

Think I'll stay well away from the sex issue

I think it's fair to say that we have a dilluted fanbase these days, with too many jcl's who don't have a mad passion for Arsenal.

This is seen by the quite ridiculous number of early leavers, and the fact the Club Level is almost empty either side of half time... it seems beer and food is too important for many of our fans to miss out on, even if it means missing part of the game. I find that amazing!

You mention there's too many children. I disagree; If anything, there is a suprising absence of kids at the Grove (outside of the family enclosure).. probably because of the prices!
