cesc was terrible
bendtner was terrible
theo made a silly tackle for the penalty but for me was our best player for the rest of the game

our midfield was totally dominated, denilson aint up to it

anyone else think almunia could have done slightly better on the second goal ?

im not blaming him for today of course, the penalty was a very good save

(i still dont think hes good enough though)

he wants to go, he's not intrested and he doesnt have to play his arse off to secure a transfer like flamini :(

And what the fuck was with the 4-5-1 formation? It worked last week but thats against a decent team that will attack when given the chance, but not today!

Someone said Villa were dross, I disagree. This was a team today that worked their arses off today, had a game plan and executed it very well (with a little help from the twat in green). As bad as we were today (and we were bad) if they were truely dross they certainly wouldn't have been able to have defended so well as they did and we would have simply, with time, cut through.

As much as it pains me to say it, the better team won today.

Villa were superb today.. and thoroughly deserved the 3 points.

Arsenal, on the other hand, were poor.. awful in fact. No excuses.. it's just not good enough.

4 defeats, and we're only on November!

Because I was busy at work, I signed up for arsenal text alerts just before todays game  :banghead:
I received 4....team news, one for each goal and news of Sagna`s injury

I don't get it anymore.
Last week we go up vs. Man U and we think we don't have a hope in hell and end up winning.
This week we lose 2-0 to Villa at home after a good week.
It seems confidence isn't a good thing for the Arsenal first team, it just causes complacency.

As we now know it was the Stoke team that turned up.The attitude of our over paid tean is a disgrace. They turn up v Man Utd but the following week they disappear. And all Wenger does is stand on the touchline with his arms held out.

We shouldnt be suprised after STUBBORN Wengers failure to stregthen the squad in the summer.

4th place is going to be a real fight now.

We were mediocre rather then dreadful, Villa were good rather then superb yet they were more creative and add that little bit of luck. Our defense didn't look utterly at ease yet they did well enough, a more confident Almunia might have saved the second goal but he had played before that, Gallas, Silvestere did their jobs, Clichy was better then he has been for awhile and was unfortunate with the own goal. Sagna didn't seem to get to grips with Young I thought and his crosses caused no end of problems.

Midfield didn't much protection but not so much a balance, more a lack of confidence or creativity. Nasri, Cesc, Denilson and Diaby were anonymous with the erratic Walcott the only one creating, perhaps Cesc's suspension will do him some good as a rest for a week won't hurt. Ade, Nic and Vela got no service and surprised Nic has been so lambasted, held the ball up when he got that but was simply not being given the ball. Ade hit the post, unlucky and good to see him fit again

Must do better

I think it speaks volumes when you hear a commentator say "Gallas was simply outmuscled by Agbonlahor".
Seriously, the guy is built like a racing snake!
How the hell can he possibly get away with outmuscling Gallas? Beggars fucking belief

terrible run of results
some deserved, some unlucky
some poor/mediocre performances, some very good ones

all would be totally different with a world class keeper
swap almunia for a schmeicel/seaman in their prime we'd be top
even swapped for friedel, james or given we'd be considerably further ahead
almunia costs us points over and over again
