Scenario - Carling Cup final

Post by All_Arsenal_1886 »

OK so the scenario is Arsenal's youngsters make it through to the Carling Cup Final to play North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who are the holders of the Cup.

So far we've played a team with the average age of 19 years, they've beaten Shefield United 7-0 and Wigan 3-0 and another two teams to reach the final.

Obviously last year Spurs beat our youngsters at WHL and went on to win the trophy, so other than this being a match about silverware it could well be a match to get revenge.

So what would you do?

Play the team with an average age of 19, put out the big Gunns or have a mix and match team?

Average age of 19 even though it's Spurs
As Wenger said before the Chelsea final couple of years "i'm sticking to the youngsters"
Though maybe a couple of older heads in the team, last few semi's we've had Arsene tends to stick a first teamer in the side

one thing, we neat Sheff utd 6-0, not 7-0 :-P and rather we totally fucked them up coz i hate them bastards, b ut Wenger wud stick to the young side, with a few 1st teamers in there, i think he'd have Sagna, Johan, Song Clichy, Theo, Ramsey, Denilson or Diaby, Wilshere, Bendtner and Vela,

Play the kids.

It is their competition.

Keep them intact, they are used to each other and they have good spirit.

We need to keep the first team players as fresh as possible for the struggle for fourth place.

Defo kids, they will earn it if they get there, and I think we will win it this year anyway.

They did thanks g88ner - even met dicko (I mean Mrs K). :barscarf:

She is even prepared to go again (no trip to the Tollington again for me that day.... )

Caused havoc in the Armoury afterwards and I got stitched £4 for a chocolate advent calender.

Might even take my hubby next time. :hmmthink:

I'd want to play the first team. I want to win trophies, not appease a bunch of 17 year olds.

And considering that we're not going to win the league, we should try our hardest in the other three competitions.
