Beat Sheffield 6-0, lose to Hull.
Beat Porto 4-0, draw to Sunderland.
Beat Mancs and Wigan, lose to Villa.
Our consistency is crap

I just don't know anymore. Expect to get beaten at Man City and win at Chelsea

You might well be right.Although we could get taken apart against Chelsea depending on which Arsenal team turns up on the day. If the team that played { or should that be didn't play} Stoke and Villa turns up we'll be fcuked. If the team that played Manure turns up then we might be in business. The problem is no-one knows which team is going to turn up at the moment and you don't win titles with inconsistencies like that. The teams that win titles are the ones that can win 1-0 without playing well, sadly we are a long way from that at the moment.BergkampGooner wrote:Random statistic, it seems every time we have a good result in midweek, we get a bad one at the weekend and vice-versa (bar when we beat Fenerbahce 2-5 and West Ham 2-0).

Our consistency is crap. I'm beginning to wonder if confidence has the reverse effect on our team, making us complacent and thus getting beaten.

If Shrek and Winker had bought their shooting boots it could well have been embarassing. Unfortunately it was just a sunny spell in an ever darkening sky.Wayno wrote:The united result was a flook, we should have been dead and buried within the first 15mins but got lucky. That result along with the media hype over our kids great performance and result mid week against Wigan has lead many into believing the club were on the up and had at last put the wreched start to the season behind us.
Unfortunately it was a false dawn and we are still playing like a mediocre team, who despite playing some pretty neat football at times, lack the grit and determination needed to turn off days into hard earned points.
I am not going to blame Wenger anymore, we all know that we are lacking in all departments from front to back and that strengthening the squad is vital, but I am placing the blame firmly with the players who are earning in one week what would be considered decent annual salary for most of us. If they had any pride in wearing the red and white of Arsenal, they would battle hard and be willing to sweat blood and tears in the pursuit of victory.
We are getting turned over by teams who are technically inferior to our own but whom play with passion and determination. It doesn't matter how much money Wenger does or doesn't spend on skillfully gifted talent during the transfer window, we have enough of that already. What we need are players who don't roll over just because the game has got a bit physical, we need players who instead roll up their sleeves and set about forcing games to go our way.
