Yeah it’s surprised me a bit just how bad they’ve been at times so far but I cant say I really expected them to kick on that much straight away this season. And to be honest although they made progress under Sven (bit like that Faria Alam   ) by the end of last season they seemed to be going backwards again.

I think defensively they’re struggling big time. Dunne seems to be having a mare of a season, Richards has been off-form so far and they lost Corluka to the Totts. They got a fair few 1-0's last season but there's probably brothels with more clean sheets than them right now. Cant see them being able to make as many star signings in January as some are predicting either but next season they could be a real threat so I’m hoping they don’t even qualify for the Uefa Cup so it’ll be harder for them to attract the bigger players.

Could turn into a bit of a shootout between our forwards & theirs on Sat - have to say I’m a bit worried about what Ireland, Robinho & SWP are gonna do to us with all the space between our midfield & defence. Hughes used to be pretty good at getting Blackburn all fired up to play us & no doubt they’ll sniff blood but somehow I can see us taking the 3 points. :barscarf:

With Ade and Van Persie back and Man City's overly leaky defence we should score at least 3 on saturday, much will depend on our defence as to if we'll get the 3 points.

Line-up may look like this:

Adebayor - RVP
Nasri - Ramsey - Denilson - Walcott
Clichy - Gallas - Silvestre - Toure
Almunia

However, I WANT it to look like this:

RVP - Vela
Nasri - Ramsey - Walcott
Toure
Clichy - Silvestre - Djourou - Gallas
Almunia

This is assuming Diaby is out, and of course Fabregas is out. If Diaby is fit to play I would like him starting instead of Ramsey. I really think Toure could fill in just ahead of the defense and roam a little and think he would do it well. At least better than Denilson (crap) and Song (slow). Gallas used to play LB at Chelsea so he would be better at playing RB than he is at Cb in my opinion. Eboue could start instead of Gallas but I think he's out injured still?

Walcott is out now so i guess Eboue will play RM if he's fit, failing that Nasri on the right and Diaby LM??

Following Yankee's lead:

If Sagana, Eboue, Walcott, Rosicky and Eduardo are injured, with Cesc suspended.

I THINK the line up will be:

---------------ALMUNIA--------------

TOURE------GALLAS-----SILVESTRE-----CLICHY

NASRI------DENILSON------DIABY-------VELA

------------BENDTNER---------VAN PERSIE------

but I WANT the line up to be:

--------------------ALMUNIA-----------------

TOURE----------DJOUROU------GALLAS------CLICHY

VAN PERSIE-------SONG-------DIABY------------NASRI

--------------------BENDTNER----------------------------
---------------------ADEBAYOR-----------------------

Which would give us Fabianski, Vela, Silvestre, Wilshere, Gibbs, Denilson and Simpson on the bench.

Vela wont play i dont think, i want him to, Diaby will play right wing, Nasri left, Song Denilson will play in the middle, Rvp and Ade up front, unless Eboues fit Diaby and Deninson will start

So you would rather have song in midfield than ramsey?

Yes, if Ramsey or Song's midfield partner is Diaby.

To have Diaby and Ramsey does not give us a natural tackler in midfield.

As much as I rate Ramsey a better ayer than Song, they play different roles.
Ramsey is an attacking player.

His Carling appearance vs Wigan was oen where he shone, but he was only able to do so with the help of Randall next to him putting in the donkey work and winning tackles.

Our most major problem this season has been the lack of a defensive midfielder with the pairing od Cesc and Denilson.

I thought he had served his three match ban already?

If he is still suspended then I would like to play Simpson on right wing.

RVP scored 2 goal for the Dutch today, maybe he can come back in form for us.

toure is out with a calf injury, so i expect the team will be

almunia

eboue gallas silvestre clichy

rvp denilson song diaby nasri

adebayor

hopefully we will play 4-5-1, as we seem to be more affective with 5 across the middle, especially away from home

So there's no Eboue, Walcott, Sagna or Toure?? Just who is going to play on the right?
