Should Gallas have spoken out?

Thanks for the link, DB10

In that quote, is he referring to another Arsenal player? Why does he say insults 'us'?

If he did make these quotes, and they havent been taken out of context, i can see Wenger being pretty peeved.

If he did say that, I don't think he should have said it in public however it would suggest there is someone whose attitude is becoming a problem.

This whole situation is hardly a surprise. The club seems almost rudderless at the moment. Although Wenger is taking care of a number of things around the club he is ignoring what needs the most attention. The signs were there last season with the Adebayor – Bendtner incident at Spurs and Gallas strop at Brum. Were any of these players disciplined for their actions? I don’t remember hearing they were.

Without strong leadership from the manager and no leadership from senior players, everyone thinks they can do what they want without consequence.

I simply don’t know what is happening at the club at the moment but it is not good. The first ingredients to any successful side is determination and team ethic, we seem to be lacking these and no amount of natural ability will make up for it.

Wenger, please read the riot act to the players, they are clearly in far too much of a comfort zone for it to be healthy.

He makes it hard for us to keep supporting him doesnt he? He's 31 yet he still keeps talking to the press about negativity. I thought he would/should have learned by now.

Really stupid telling the press that the player is 25 as well, that player will now be p*ssed off too.

My first thought was Toure but could be RVP.

I think skooner hit the nail on the head when he referred to a lack of leadership in the club and that should come from the board down to wenger and then down to the players. I am not trying to use this as a way to bash the board (as if  ) but the whole club seems to be stuck in a paralysed state where nobody is capable of taking any responsibility be that in the appointment of a new ceo, the bringing in of new players, kicking the arses off the players when necessary and of course taking responsibilities on the pitch.

Wenger really needs to get a grip on this situation cos the longer he leaves the more shit like this we will have to put up with. As the saying in that outstanding film Remember the Titans goes, "attitude reflects leadership", and wenger needs to start showing the players who is boss whether he starts with gallas or greedybollox I dont fcuking care. What I am fed up of is looking at greedy self serving mercenaries like greedybayor and the self absorbed gallas pissing about on the pitch as our club hits the shit again and again. As I said before, if wenger is incapable of kicking fcuking arses in the dressing room then he can fcuk off with them cos I've had enough of this type of shit

In normal circumstances this shouldn't be made public, but these aren't normal circumstances.

I have thought for sometime that there was something wrong with the team spirit, the more AW keeps going on about how strong the spirit is, the more i doubt it.

well i think it was a masterplan by Abwankervich to sell us Gallas.
Its clear that Willey has got well paid bythe chav crunt to inflict as much trouble for arsenal, clearing the way for the chavs to win everything.

Very good post Skooner. There is no Direction at board, Managerial or pitch level. Is anyone surprised at how we struggle ?

I can't see this being solved in one January transfer window.

We need a new Chairman. Hill-Wood is well past it.
We need a savy and determinded Chief Execuitve.
We need to get rid of Gallas, Adeybayour, Eboue and quite possibly Song and a couple of others.
We need 2 new Central Defenders, two central midfielders and a new centre forward.
Quite possibly the last two changes can only come with a new Manager.

Apart from that - everything in the Gooner Garden is Rosy

initially i was thinking he was talkingabout bendtner, but i reckon it must have been rvp if he is 25 - it wouldnt surprise me to be honest - unless of course willy got his maths wrong. personally, i dont really have a problem with willy comin out and sayin this - at least he is saying it how it is rather than wenger coming out and saying - i dont understand how we lost to villa, we dont like playing stoke etc.

i think the team ethic as a whole has been lost from last season and frustrations from not winning the league and playing inconsistently this season has boiled over, and u can see that on the pitch - thats why i worry for the plyers who do care, who may not stick round i.e. cesc, gael, theo....
