we love you Arsenal, we do OHHHHArsenal we love you

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Managed to get tickets (albeit in the city end) but the away support was fantastic. As someone said previously, I was itching to join in if it wasn't for my own self preservation.

Shame the team couldn't put in half the effort.

I was quite disappointed that the players didnt acknowledge us more, to be honest. Only Clichy lingered slightly longer than Denilson, Djourou and Almunia (the rest were off sharpish) and non of them moved their arses past the centre circle to do so. Considering the week of speculation, the fact that it was freezing, that they didnt put any passion into the game and that we still sung our hearts out, i expected a lot more

I spoke to a City friend of mine after who said he honestly couldnt hear the arsenal fans singing. Perhaps like the Grove, City's design means the acoustics dont travel in the same way because i didnt hear any noise from them either.

crocit wrote:great support at the end from the 70 minute nark singing that non stop, and even carried when Wen City got the penalty and scored it, outsang them during there penalty and scoring it!! :D lets do this at Stamford Bridge and do a repeat of old trafford and stay behind for ages singing it!!!
Got to be honest, we were brilliant. Went up with my Mum & Dad, Mums a scouser & even she said we were genuinely great.

Looking forward to Chelsea on Sunday, always a great atmosphere & I still have an inflatable Cashley phone & bank notes!

I was in the upper tier where less people were singing, but was still impressed.
It's nice to remember that there are still proper supporters going to games. They will be needed in the coming weeks and months, starting tonight.

C'mon you gunners!

Hi everyone. Fairly new here. Was fortunate to be at the city game also (took my dad to his first match ever) and the singing at the end was superb.

Got really annoyed with 2 Arsenal "fans" who left when we conceded the 2nd goal!!

cheers,
aaron

We do have some fantastic support, a real genuine hardcore base of fans...I'd say there are a good 25,000 who'll be there in good times and bad and will sing, but sadly are scattered through a stadium of 30,000 other tourists who will leave early and sit on their arses in silence for 90 minutes.

Hopefuly these current times at Arsenal will bring out the hardcores...and the moaners will fuck off

I was standing there after Man Citys second went in on Saturday freezing my nuts off thinking that if the players can't be arsed then why should I be arsed to travel 3 hours here and 3 hours back but the singing for the last 20 minutes was amazing and made me proud to be a gooner so there's no doubt I'll return, good times and bad.
