Please be nice to William Gallas - No BOOS please !!!!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Obviously as a professional footballer and Captain you can;t exactly act like that, but I still like he gives a fuck and loosing means tht much too him. Plus he's important to pop up and score and important goal.

In many ways I think the media was overly harsh on him after Birmingham, plus what he did recently is no different to what Roy Keane did a number of times a few years back
I agree with all of that and if he gives his all I do not think many will boo him. I also do not think we will see him give his all tomorrow or ever again for Arsenal. I hope I am wrong but he has gone too far.

We arent in the form to thrash anyone at the moment Calo. We should boo anyone in an Arsenal shirt but id be happy to see Gallas sold in Jan.

The only thing that p155ed.me off about the B'ham outburst was when he went to the other end of the pitch whilst the penalty was being taken. What he should have done is been on the edge of the box ready to follow in and defend if the penalty was missed. What happened afterwards i can forgive and get on with it but as centre-half and Captain he should have been there defending until the end not sucking his thumb

If he can play like he did in the Manure game in every game i think most people would forgive him, unfortunately those performances have been few and far between.

I find it moronic booing or hurling abuse at your players, the team is in a depressing situation of late and for me, players and fans suffer together. Gallas deserves our support, and unless he does something deliberate to damage the club we should all get behind him. I'd love to hear both he and Cesc get a huge cheer tomorrow night, imagine the message that would send out not only to our boys, but also to all those manc and chavski and tottenham bastards who are getting off on our misery. We are The Arsenal, and we're better then you! :barscarf:

top post. what the fuck is up with booing your own team? until a player is still wearing the arsenal kit then they are an arsenal player no matter how shit they are (eboue) and should not be booed.

what do you think the players want when theyre under pressure and they themsleves know they arent playing good. the fans to raise the atmosphere with chants, claps, anything else that will give them extra motivation, or boos? which would you prefer if you were a player?

I agree, this is Cesc's first game as captain - lets focus on that.

Exactly. I would recommend a lot of "Robin van Per-SIE" and "Super, Super Sam" though. :barscarf:
